New to Rx-8s, but not to rotaries.
Hello everyone,
My name is Nate. As you can guess by my username, my previous rotary was a 1985 GSL-SE. I 13BT swapped the car and owned it for 7 years, before selling it last summer to fund my move. Yesterday, my wife and I picked up our newest rotary ride. Its an 04 RX-8 with a few mods done to it. However, it isnt running quite right so that is what I am going to get sorted out. Figured this would be the place to hunt down the needed info.

Hello Nate,
I also had an 85 GSL-SE that I turned into a race car. Below is a link that will be helpful to you, even though you have had a rotary car in the past. The RX8 is a different animal.

That is the arm on the SSV actuator making that noise.
This is a 4 port so you won't be able to see it so easily on your 6 port but this what is making that noise. If you put your finger on it while it is idling I bet the sound goes away.
