Found vacuum hose detached and don't know where it goes.

Can anyone please help me find the location as to where this hose gets put back onto? It's sucking air into it and believe this is the reason for my P2259 And P0410 codes. I also bought this car with an aftermarket AEM air intake

with an extra plug hanging off the aftermarket intake not plugged into anything. Im baffled as to why the previous owner left these 2 parts disconnected while daily driving it like this. Any help appreciated thanks.

Looks like the actuator vac line for the VFAD intake valve that was removed when the AEM intake was added.

It should be blocked off....

AEM intake harness connector found loose and bought like this.

Ok its safe to just plug up the hose then? This is the other connector i found just sitting loosely as part of the intake harness. Curious if there's a place for it although I'm not seeing one. Only owned this rx8 for a week and trying to get to the bottom of the P2259 And P0410 codes, thought id start with these 2 loose pieces. Thanks for your quick response dannobre.

That's the vfad solenoid connector. Cap it somehow to protect it and tuck it out of the way so it doesn't end up in a belt.

Your codes suggest previous owner removed the secondary air pump. Great if you're catless, less great if you have a cat.

Yep no cat on it, so maybe the codes are just because of the new intake and nothing to worry about? I don't want to stretch its legs until I know it's not starving for air.

The codes are pretty specifically about the air pump. If it's been removed and you have no cat, then nothing you can do / nothing to worry about. You could reinstall the secondary air pump if you want the check engine light to go away. Starving for air isn't really a thing, so feel free to wind it out and see how she behaves.
