Just getting the last few things back onto rebuilt engine and can't remember where the other end of this goes ? one end solid metal.pipe is obvious the other end rubber hose guessing somewhere on the UIM but want to make.sure before I put engine in car.

I have the proper workshop manual but a lot of these diagrams especially intake and evap parts I find incredibly hard to follow

It's the jet air line which transitions to a vacuum hose, then ultimately terminates on the top-most nipple of the accordion intake tube. Search/Google RX8 "jet air" line for an A & Z termination diagram.
