FL Delayed reverse s1 4 at 2nd tranny

Hi new member but not to rx i bought a s1 for $800 with a "bad trans" ok it had 116k on it still good. The trans had a severe delay going into reverse if you reved it it slamed hard into gear. So i droped the pan cleaned out the screen nothing alarming . Flushed the oil three or for times it got much better then sarted getting worse again. So off to pick a pull grabbed a used trans worked perfectly. Now two months later this trans is doing the exact same thing. Could the trans computer be bad or is it built into the ecu? If its separate where is it? I know most people wont mess with at rebuilds but they are easy to rebuild i just wonder if anyone has had similar problems. It seams like line pressure is low aka front pump worn it acts the worst when cold. if some one could move this to s1 trouble shooting for me where i could get more views would be appreciated thanks

More than likely you got a bad unit. If it worked perfect when you installed it, something must have broken. It sounds like a bad transmission and not the computer. It’s mostly mechanical, I doubt that would be a computer related issue. The autos you want to avoid because Mazda makes the absolute worst auto transmissions.
