Hi there, i just bought a 2006 r8x a week ago, for my wife. I knew it didnt start when i bought it (got it dirt cheap). Ran the vin and everything checks out good. when i started doing some troubleshooting, i started researching and found my best first step was to do a compression test on the engine. sure enough i had no compression on the front rotary but 90 psi on the rear. so i ordered a remand engine from my local mazda dealer. to the point im wondering if break in oil would be a good idea to use sense ill be running a "new engine".

also i have removed the engine and it is currently hanging from my hoist/What would be the best way to mount it to my engine stand. i was thinking of making new arms to mount it to the back where the tranny bolts to.

Just run the oil you plan on using long-term. You'll lose compression long before the bearings wear out.
