Hey guys,
Currently I am trying to configure the new turbo set-up for my RX8 but I am having some problems with boost control.
Even when the boost controller is off I am getting boost spikes of 0.7 bars (10 PSI).
The internal wastegate has a spring rated at 0.3 bars (4.3 PSI)
I am just a beginner and don't understand what could be the problem and maybe I am doing something wrong. I would really appreciate some ideas or things I could try in order to find the issue here.

post specifics on your setup. Custom kit, Greddy, etc. Details, details, details

 

with your EBC on you should be able to dial out that initial spike.

 

This is some that I know:
Greddy turbo kit, GReddy T618Z turbine upgraded with BNR cartridge, HKS SSQV re-circulated BOV, Kinugawa Adjustable internal wastegate with custom mount, Greddy Profec Boost controller.

 

Eliminate your EBC and see what happens, if you spike then you need to look at (test) your wastegate actuator.

Maybe you have your 'start boost' setting set way too high ................

so yeah - 9KRPMs advice is good.
