AEM Intake for 09 RX8 R3
I think I have purchased the wrong intake correct me if I am wrong
AEM 21-485C
It specifies for 2004-2009 R2
Will this part work for my 09 R3 ?

Yes, it will work fine. "R2" in this case is referring to the engine, which is a "2 rotor" engine. It's the abbreviation just like V6, V8, L6, W12, etc... that refers to the engine configuration.
