Happy late birthdays, guys.
And I won't be there tomorrow either (though my car will be) because the two people I set up last weekend still need moral support, apparently, and are dragging us to dinner and the comedy club afterwards. Will do my best to make it next week though. I want to see the 7s!!

But, turbo's do better in rotary's due to the amount of exhaust that they produce.
I would like to see a long term test version of a supercharged Renesis then I will make a decsion if it would be worth it or not.
I am realy likeing the movement in Japan now to create powerfull naturaly aspirated RX8's. The Japanese tuner FEED has a awsome N/A 233 WHP RX8 and they said you could easily get 300WHP from the N/A engine. Combined with a good suspension set up and sticky rubber that would be a powerfull contender with no lag from tubro's or superchargers.
Just food for thought...

There just is not enough room in the bay for a good turbo kit. you have to relocate a lot of stuff and the heat that the kit would produce would be more than I would like.

Ok, I put a charger on the battery (after I found where they hid the battery) and it is still dead as a door nail. Guess I should call the 800 number and have it towed over to Cap Mazda.
I scanned the threads and tried to find a better battery to put in its palce but it was too confusing.

Just installed the shock alarm sensor. What a pain in the ***. Could the directions be any more vague? : ) Any who the saga continues. Mazda had my car for 2 days and when I got it back they had washed it for me. Turns out that they must have used sand paper to dry it because there are all these fine scratches all over my car now that you can only see in direct sunlight. Can people have any less respect for someone elses property or what?

Yeah, the supercharger unit is bigger than the turbine. but you will not need all the extra pipeing that needs to be squeezed in there.
Anyway my point is, the RX8 is a N/A sports car and I think it should stay that way. To me turbo's and superchargers are cool but don't hold the same magic as a well tuned N/A car. Its just diffrent and u don't get any lag from a N/A car.

Why did you let them wash your car?
U should have known better then that. But don't worry all of our cars have fine scratches. You will get them just rideing down the highway.

Good point but there will be another RX-7.. and it will have forced induction. Let the RX8 be the N/A platform. Do you know there are 400whp N/A RX7's in Japan? N/A... It takes a skilled tunner to get that much HP out of a N/A rotary. Any body can slap a turbo kit on it and up the performance. Thats why N/A Rotary tuners are in the minority.
