Ok...

I'm pleased to announce that the meet was a total... FAILURE

Of the 8 - 10 people that stated that they would come, and even the 4 people that actually signed up, only 2 of us (gambit and myself) actually showed up. I don't know what happened, but I definitely left a cookout early to come meet up with you guys.

Personally, I thought it was messed up that no one bothered to show up, or even say that they wouldn't show up. Had I known that no one would come, I could have modified my plans accordingly.

Sorry guys that I didnt make it. I definitely wanted to. You can thank the good people of a well-known local fortune 500 company for having an emergency outage....hours of downtime = a couple hundred thousand dollars. I was up at 4 am and didn't return until midnight. Apologies all around. I'm bummed.

 

Damn that sucks. I remember the last time there was an attempt, 2 people went me and another dude, but somehow we missed each other.

Has anyone eaten at Ichiban in Cranberry? That place is solid, I strongly recommend it. If we have a meet closer to my area, I'll be there for sure...my gf thought it was a cool idea to meet up, but she agreed that it was a little too far.

 

What kind of food do they have?

 

The burgh has fallen of the map. Been away for a while. I am sad.

 

so i guess the last attempt was shot. do you guys and girls wanna go for another? i think the turnout should be better since most CMU and pitt students should be back for the fall. i personally like to meet before the snow, unless i can locate some 18" snow tires within my budget.

it also may work out much better if we get some rx7 people together as well. i already saw a couple modified FD's rolling around CMU!

yea, we've been wanting to get a meet together in pittsburgh for a year!!

i hope someone can pull it off.

i tried last year and NO ONE showed!!

this year though, there seems to be at least 5 of us who wants to see this happen asap.

when did you have in mind? set something a couple months down the line. i'm sure we'll have interests. largely, the problem has been... what do we do at the meet?

 

why a couple of months? I must have no life or somethin, cause on a week or less notice, I could probably get together with people...

This Sat night, I'll be busy, but Sun night or next weekend, I'll be free... Last year around the 4th of July (I think...), there was supposed to be a meet. Only myself and one other guy showed (I think it was gambit, but I could be wrong...)

So let's do somethin SOON!! The weather is nice, so that's no longer an issue

Thursday, the 3rd - Club Meeting at Primanti Brothers in Harmarville. Dinner and meeting start at 6:30pm.



now they are a "real" club. costs money to be part of them. and they are a bunch of old guys it seems. how about two weeks from sunday we meet? the 13th?

 

I'm down... Let's get some suggestions for time and place, and once we start hearing from people (so we'll know who's interested) we can make a new thread with the appropriate info...
