I got a Ti- grey thats in the southside every weekend.... I park behind jacks on 13th street.

 

I bought my 8 in Feb......and I've seen a total of 3 since then! A VR in 279 heading into town from the North last week, a VR on 228 in Mars three weeks ago, and a Ti on 228 last weekend.

That might have been me that you saw on 228. I live up that way and seem to remember being on 228 on Sat. night.

 

I live in Cranberry and saw another VR and a black 8 on wed. evening driving on freedom road, didnt get a chance to beep though!!!! Im up for a meetin, whats the deal!?!?!?!?!

 

We have talked about meets for quite a while, but have never been able to pull it off. Since the weather is getting nicer, we should try to get something together. Have any of you guys/gals checked out the AutoX that they do up at North Park? From what I remember, it was every other Sunday.

Just moved to Pittsburgh (Canonsburg) from VA. Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm up for a BBQ or a meet or whatever.

 

That sounds good, I have seen some effort for meets to get done on here, but have not seen anything go through since I have been a member. I would like to get something started, anyone else interested? Also, what day or days would be best for everyone?

I'd be more than up for a meet. Sundays are my best day, but I may be able to pull off a sat...

Also, as for a suggested location, how does schenley park sound?

 

...my schedule is kinda hectic but if the group sets a date and place, I'll really try to make it.

 

I have no idea where that park is, or if I can make it, but I'd love to.

 

Schenley park would be an awesome place for a meet. Especially at the circle overlooking the city. if we could get a good number of cars there the photo ops would be amazing.

Either day is good for me, but I would prefer a Sunday...noonish? I can't do that early stuff.

Any day, date, and time would be good for me now...I was "let go" on Wednesday from my job, lol... So now, I get paid MORE somehow to sit on my ***. KICK ***!!! But seriously, I love to meet up with some other 8s. Seems like Sundays would be the best for everyone.

Ok... so it's settled then. Here's what we have so far:

Day: Sunday afternoon
Date: Tentatively 5/21/06 (I say do it ASAP, but someone may object so possibly the 28th?)
Time: afternoon sometime (presumably 1:00)
Location: schenley park in oakland (assuming no one objects), but we have to decide where

You name it, I'll be there, not exactly sure where Schenley Park is located in Oakland.

 

You may need more time to organize a Sunday the 21st meet-up. Plus there calling for showers and a high of 60 degrees. On the 28th there calling for mostly sunny skies and a high of 85.

Just my 2 cents...

 

Either the 21st or 28th is good for me. I'd be coming in from Altoona which is about a 2 to 2.5 hour drive depending on the traffic.

There's another gentleman on the forums from Johnstown. Hopefully he'll see this. Maybe we could head over together.

cornrowdpantha, did you happen to post this event in the RX-7 forums? I believe there's a western PA chapter. Some members might be interested. Your call though if you only want this to be 8s.

Please keep us posted ASAP if this is going to be tomorrow or next Sunday.

 

Maybe gambit is right, the 28th would be better. More notice for everyone so more people can attend plus better weather.
