to much amperage is obviously going through it, u need to find out what runs through that fuse and if u tapped those wires for power most wiring issues like that are because of someones fingers, bad modules, or wires rubbbing

Yeah ... one of the suggestions was that maybe my alternator is going ... but it reads between 14 and 14.4 volts

the only way the alternator could be the cause is if the rectifier or one of the diodes is bad, either way the alternator would still read 14.4 at idle because your only reading voltage, you need to read in amperage, for all you know that thing could be pumping out triple the amperage that its supposed to

this was driving around in 1st and 2nd gear ... also revving

I've been pouring over wiring diagrams

That fuse goes through ... well I'll attach it

ok from the looks of it your gonna have to check the amperage each module is pulling and compare it to spec, it shouldnt be much though

odds are if the 15 amp fuse is blowing its because you have a faulty coil

no way the its the alternator, or else you would have blown the main 120 fuse and the 30 ig fuse thats on the same circuit

coil is the only thing i can think of that would really overload that fuse on an inconsistent basis like yours

all the other modules do self checks periodically and would pull a code if it were faulty since they all run on the same bus line, rarely do u get a module that "thinks" its not faulty when it is, not with out an odd code

the other reason im thinking this is since you said its fine on idle but dies when u drive it, since coils draw more amperage the higher the duty cycle
