Mazdaspeed Corral at Limerock, May 23-26th, 2008 (Grand-Am Series)
I am definitely down for a caravan. I'd like to leave Long Island around 8AM, plenty of time to get there, set up shop, meet people, and then be ready for parade laps at noon, especially if they limit it to a certain number of cars.
wE will def try and get everyone in the parade laps, just dont want to make any promises in case we have too many cars. Please remember the mazdaspeed corral is for other Mazdas as well, and the limit was raised from 50 thru 100 last time i checked.
The 50 people or so that gave me their names prior to the posts (name, phone number, email , tshirt size etc) will have first priority for the laps.
Thanks

Have you reached the 50 people already? Long story short, I'm moving to CT in about a month and I MIGHT be driving the 8 out that weekend and I'd love to meet up with you guys. I might only be able to make a couple of the days though. I was at Limerock the past two years for this weekend, it was always a lot of fun but really hot. There are also some awesome roads to get to the track but it's sort of in the sticks...
Welcome to the club. You should come out to Lime Rock if you are going to be here. 50 was a starting point of how many cars could go on the track for the parade laps but that was raised to 100 I believe. There is no limit to how many can come into the corral though. Give Mike a call and get some tickets.

I just got my tickets in the mail today - I was getting a little worried. For anyone who ordered them but has yet to receive them, mine took over 3 weeks, so I guess be patient....
For those who are camping out I found this on the Grand-am site. It might be useful.

I haven't camped there for Memorial Day in a few years (moved my early season race to the Glen). There are always a core group who arrive on Thurs afternoon when the gates open to grab their annual spots. Most are very respectful, others steak out large plots in anticipation of friends/family joining them throughout the weekend. If it's just the two of you - I wouldn't expect any trouble finding a spot anytime on Friday. The loudests sections have historically been up near the "Morton Chicane", but there are other pockets as well. Overall the entire place is pretty family fiendly these days.
The one unknown is the track expansion slated for this year is definately going to reduce the camping area (especially in the climbing turn and "Morton Chicane" areas) Construction isn't supposed to start until after this weekend, but I don't know if they will have already moved the fencing back in advance. That could compress the campers soemwhat. -

Depending on what time you get there on Friday, you will probably see other camping sites with evidence of kids already - toys, bikes, etc. That wold be your best bet. Keep away from big "party style" tent campsites, these tend to be the loudest (guilty), but the stereos have to get turned down when security says so. If you're tenting, watch out for people who look like they will run their motorhome generator all night!
I'm sure you can still buy them, probably up until that weekend. They surely have a ticket pick-up office, and why would they lose out on business for that sort of silly reason?
Just give Mike a call and ask.

last year we had an eticket option on the website but for some reason this year they couldnt get it up (no pun intended) in time, so it was posted on the forums. Call them up and find out.
Sounds like the reason it took so long for the tickets to go out was because they had a problem with the printing machine (or something like that), so I'd think you should be able to get your tickets before the weekend if you order quick.
