Mazdaspeed Corral at Limerock, May 23-26th, 2008 (Grand-Am Series)
Hey Guys,
For those of you who don’t know about the Rolex GT series which as numerous 20B powered Mazda RX-8s from Speedsource, Racers Edge, Goldwin Brother and Team Spencer. This year we will be holding our 2nd Annual Mazdaspeed Corral, sponsored by Mazdaspeed and put together by Marlon Sumlin of Cleveland 6 Club, Ray Gonzalvo of Mazda6club, and NYRA/CTRA/NJRA.
Last years event was great and i would like to get the ball rolling on this years event early to ensure we have sufficient parking. Last year we had between 100-150 Mazda vehicles (mainly miatas) but we also had RX-7's, RX-8's Mazda protege, Mazda 3 and Mazda 6's.
If you wish to find out about how to request tickets before they go on sale to the public follow the instructions on my website at http://nyrotary.com/Pages/Mazda_Corr...eRock_2008.htm
This will be offered on a first come first serve basis. The more applicants we receive the more space we can hold at this year’s event.
Some features of the event
1. Mazda only designated parking
2. Catered Lunch/Drinks
3. Three laps around LIME ROCK Racetrack (ONLY FOR MAZDAS)
4. Meet and Greet with the Mazda Rotary Race teams (so far on board is Speedsource and Racer's Edge, more to come!!!)
5. Discounted multi-day passes
6. Free Mazdaspeed Merchandise (based on last year’s program)
So please jump on this as fast as you can, visit www.nyrotary.com to keep track of the progress of all the Mazda RX-8's. (Direct link http://nyrotary.com/Pages/racingevents.htm)
Hope to have a big rotary showing this year!!!!!!!!!
DRIVING ON THE TRACK (They put the rotarys in the front because they know we like to speed)
Best Regards,
Jason, NYRA President

Yeah, I'm definitely in this year. Last year was awesome. Getting to see all the cars up close & talk with the drivers was great, too. And hearing those rotaries SCREAMING on the track was unbelievable!

Being a 7 man, it was awesome to see those 8's up close. Sign up now guys because last year the trip around the track was limited to the first 50.
We could all meet up for the first day and cruz up. We did it last year from Stamford and it was awesome up the back roads.

True about lime rock btw. There was an injunction against Lime Rock Park in 1959 barring them from racing on Sundays. It ought to be lifted but meh...
