heww someones fiesty,,, with Dan Jamie and me there its pretty much a garuntee that there will be driving... I just wanted to get to know some of the people that are regulars its quit rude to intro yourself and book,,,,

 

I was going to do the whole meet up at Fudruckers thing this past weekend but the night before I got way too drunk. I don't really even remember anything that happened that night. But yeah.....I've never been to one of the local meets before, what usually goes on?

 

i wasnt at the oct. 5 auto-x, but the corvette guy is at a lot of local autocrosses. i did an autocross with the capital driving club the weekend before and he was there.

i totally approach every single rx8 driver i see.

 

Just Rotary/other talk and eat and with the next hopefully a spirited drive....

FATT on Friday at Summit main course, CDC autocross Saturday at Harry Grove. Brand-new Sumitomo HTR Z III tires: Doomed.

If I was smart I'd buy another set of wheels and put some V710's on them rather than trashing my street tires. Anybody have a set?

 

Are you guys all driving 8's at the auto-xs? I did CDC all last season but haven't made it out to a single event this season.

Just asking because I didn't see a single other 8 last year.

 

I am. I bought it pretty much to use it as an autocross and track ****. I think there has been a silver 8 that's been a regular at CDC this year. I think I remember another VR at the first CDC event I went to this year. RX8Convert22 said he's going to bring his 8 this Saturday. I'm betting there will be at least 3 there.

 

Well, if anyone wants to meet up let me know. I work this weekend, then I'm off Monday and tuesday, I work wednesday and thursday, then I'm off next friday-sunday. I'll be able to do anything as long as I'm off

The Esmeril kit is nice too..... save up thats what I had to do....

 

Rotr8, check out the dark grey tribal graphics on nuegenracing's car in the picture under the show ad. He does really good work. That picture doesn't even really do it justice. He also did part of his interior in carbon fiber if I remember right.

Totally saw someone with a black turbo 8 on Ritchie Highway the other night as they were getting on to Crain, i pulled up behind them, saw some very chrome and very pretty triangles , everything was all sorts of slick. Sounded beautiful as well!! Anyone on here drive that bad boy?

 

Speaking of spotted, I was pulling through the McDonalds in Frederick Saturday morning to get some "food" (so they claim) before the CDC autocross, and spotted a yellow 8 pulling out of the drive-through that looked just like Striker-7's. Girl behind the wheel. Think she saw me, but I didn't get a response.

The autocross was a blast, despite the course being right between first and second gear. Didn't do great as a result, 30 out of 50. Only other RX-8 there was rx8convert22. Still, had a blast and got to ride with a bunch of folks took some video too.

FATT on Friday was a blast too. Flogged the hell out of the 8 for over an hour total. Got to try the AFE short-shifter in-anger, and found it to be... invisible. Chunked the brand-new tires. Made an M3 beg for mercy. Good times.
