Spotted VR This Morning on Rt 152

So I turn on to 152 from Pleasantville this morning at 8:25, and notice a VR with skirts, cow-catcher, rotary accents, and sunroof at the light. Guy winds up going the same way I am, and follows right behind me all the way to York at Ashland Rd. I go left, he goes right. No front plate, stickers on the windshield, probably a VA-licensed car. Anybody here?

Any1 claims a Silver RX8 for sale that is always parked in S. Kenwood Ave, in Baltimore. I sometime see a Gray RX8 parked next to the silver one too. I assume they both know each other heh

Well, all I know is I'm surrounded by cows. Literally. Front yard, back yard, side yard, all cows!

I live just SW of where 23 and 24 meet. I'm often in Bel Air, usually buy car parts or junk food. I'm not sure I've seen a white 8 around, but I'll keep my eyes open. That's a rare color, so if I see one, I'll know it's yours.

My Red 8 is easy to... hear. I'm usually going faster than the law will allow and usually at high RPM. My cat-back is a tad loud.

That was interesting...

So I'm preparing for the MSCW autocross tomorrow. I installed Speed Bleeders (aka tiny threaded miracles), bled the brakes, torqued the wheels, put in the AxialFlow short shifter, and mounted the Vado video camera. Then I decide to put in the catless midpipe. Big mistake.

Turns out Mazda didn't use the same quality and type nuts and bolts they did on the late FBs and all FDs. It appears they used so-so grade, self-locking hardware on the exhaust. Ugh. Strip half of one of the manifold to cat studs, and spin the rear spring-loaded stud out of the rear of the cat. Then I find out the midpipe doesn't fit! The rear flange and hanger are all wrong. I throw a fit for about 15 minutes, then try to put the cat back in. Long story short, several hours and a trip to the FLAPS later, the main cat is back in and I'm very, very pissed and very tired and the car is filthy because I didn't have time to wash it. But, I'm ready to go flog the hell out of it tomorrow all day.

So, anybody want a real nice stainless resonated midpipe that doesn't fit?

I will be coming across the 'Bridge in a few minutes, purportedly to see the autocross at Bowie, but in reality I'm trying to escape the madness of the Domestic Female Who Hates Car Stuff. She's been on the phone with her brother for two hours now, and aside from getting in eyeshot, she wouldn't have noticed I left until the garbage needed taking out.

Watch for a LY at Odenton around 10 or so.

So you are literally right up the street from me. I live right by the intersection of 23 and 165. I can't believe I haven't seen you!

I know that the Fudd's meets are traditionally on Sundays, but I just gotta ask - don't you people watch football??? I realize us rotor heads are a different breed, but Saturday nights are 'car nights' all over the area - from some serious muscle car gatherings to local civic racer hangouts, to harley and crotch rocket meets.

Just wonderin' what others thought about this.
