And they broke a tab on the shifter surround when they replaced my defective handbrake handle.

Still, I plan on giving them another chance since they are so close to my house and maybe we just don't know each other well enough yet.

Got to get the driver seat fixed too, it's coming loose! =-o
Wow, I have to say that Im suprised... They treat me like royalty in there. No need for an appointment, great service, constant updates, install of aftermarket parts,,,, I only let Heith work on my car,,, hes there Rotary Specialist Tech...

There ya go, and it took a bit of digging. I couldn't remember if it was SCCA or NASA or another club.

I need a helmet, some brake work and a few other bits to fix. I don't regret buying a used -8, just didn't expect all this small stuff to bite me in the wallet so soon.

http://www.wdcr-scca.org/ Click on the event in the calendar

It's for SCCA members only. If you're not a member there's plenty of time to join and be eligible. They have a discounted membership for young pups too (<25). SCCA events bring out some big guns; national-level talent. Lots of fun to watch and very competitive.

They have loaner helmets. Brakes are easy (especially on these cars). What do you need? My 8 was three years old when I bought it.

I'll probably hit up the Fuddruckers meet, thats like a block from my house. The bassist in my band just bought a 2007 Stormy Blue, so I'll drag him out too.

To be honest, you will def. smell the fumes. I had a friend with the same set-up. You will be able to smell the fumes with the windows up.

I was at Ourisman Mazda in Laurel the other day and the service rep showed me a picture of a Yellow from VA with the steering wheel removed and a computer in it's place. Pretty wild. The engine bay had more mods than I could count.

I have a 2007 stormy blue, so there might be 2 of them there if I don't have time to get my rx7's starter ground working again.

I tried, but it wouldn't let me as I didn't have a high enough post count... if you could post that I'll be there + my shiny new wife and my buddy with his 8 that would be cool.

Yesterday evening at 6:30 I passed a grey 8 on Jarrettsville Pike - they flashed at me and waved but I have terrible reflexes and looked like an ***. I drive a white 8... if it was any of you, sorry!
