We'll probably have another Columbia Fudds meet early next month for the rx7 club people. I'm sure that nobody will mind some rx8's either (I have both a 2nd gen rx7 and an rx8).

Uh, oh... Dan. What's up with your ride?

 

my tank was running on empty and i was rushing to get to a gas station. down shifted to pass someone, next thing you know the car starts to shutter. i thought i was just running out of gas. filled up and the car kept shuttering. did a compression test and only 30 psi on the front rotor housing. so now i need a new long block...which i will probably get sometime this month.

i've switched to the int-x since then, i haven't gotten a chance to run with it. maybe you could give me a hand with it dave? i'll let you know soon as i swap out the motor.

 

New RX-8 owner here who just brought back a 2005 gray grand touring 6 speed from across the river in Virginia. I second the comment about Rosenthal. I took my car to Castle (used to be DARCARS?) , a mile from my house in Silver Spring, and they were just unpleasant. Rosenthal wound up handling several issues under warranty, including several that Castle swore were either not wrong or couldn't be covered.

I'll be looking for meets. Any other folks in eastern Montgomery/Western PG?

Hi everyone. Haven't been around in forever. Radiology school runs my life.

But I got a beater! My Rx-8 now sits happy and clean in the garage not racking up crazy mileage!

I paid $500 for it. It needed new tires and a heater core which my poor, enslaved boyfriend did for me

It's a 1997 Toyota Paseo. 75,000 miles and 31mpg

Hahaha. Don't hate.
