Hey MDers. IF you are in the DC area and want some free RX8 front seats from a '04 GT please let me know. They are heated and motorized; however, some of the looms have been cannibalized. Otherwise in good condition. I had a post in the f/s section, but it seems to be either too old or glitchy as it is not updating. Post in question
Again, free, black leather, heated front seats from '04 rx8.

a first gen, 2002 with the CVT, i just use it to travel for work, but I save many monies with it. I paid $3650 for it and it saves me about $250 a month just in fuel. It's also surprisingly fun to drive, especially on my 15" mini cooper wheels which bolted right on :-)

There are many things to learn about the car, like how to keep CVT from just... stopping. Also if you don't have a grid charger and OBDIIC&C, and hot intake mod, you need 'em! Get on over to InsightCentral and start reading! I'm putting together a buy of single-piece aluminum front underside panels if you're interested.

im interested in the underbody panel, twould be good aero. the CVT numbers arnt as good as the manual numbers as it is so i use the EPA 47 combined as the yardstick. with the RE92 i hit that easily, Ive bested 62.2 on the RE92, I typically get 53mpg or so lately on 185/65/14 General Altimax winter rubber. and I'm getting about 48mpg on the 175/65/15 Mini Cooper (2010 Stock convertable) ContiProContacts.
Weirdly among the three, the snow tires are the most grippy in the corners under dry conditions, which could be down to treadwidth and winter tires run a bit soft.
I dont consider upper 40's a failure though since it's still 3x what I was getting in the 8 under the same conditions :-)
I'll tell ya though the 8 feels like a genuine racecar after hopping out of the insight!
I'm not too interested in spending money on the car though unless I'll see a return on it. The extra wheels and tires i got for free in one case and $140 for the snows. other than that the insight is doing its job. If I can mod it for better economy without spending much i might, but the recent drop in gas prices has moved to mitigate those gains somewhat.
If the car needs anything as it sits its a new set of front shocks (I did the homer mod monroes at the rear already)

Hey guys anyone local WTB my stock wheels with the Rivals on them? The wheels have some blemishes but are in pretty decent shape. The tires were used for autocross this season but I'm easy on tires and theyre maybe half used up. Theyd be good for another season if you drive like I do and take them off between events, or you could get maybe 4-6 months of the most astonishing street performance you've ever experienced!
the wheels DO HAVE the TPMS sensors in them.
Stock Wheels
18x8.0
et +50
BFGoodrich Gforce Rival tires 245/40/18
nice and sticky :-)
I'd really like to see $400 for the set with the tires on them, but do please let me know whatever you think is a fair price.
Thanks gents!

I am requesting some advice. I have two seats from an RX8 that I am taking to the dump. As I recall, there are airbags in the seats, correct? Will there be an issue taking them there? Should I try to trigger them first? Remove the charges? Any advice would be appreciated, but experienced advice is most valued.
