I'm out in Frederick, but if you were to come visit and some sort of little RX-8 meet were to spontaneously occur, I wouldn't say no to driving out that way.

I'm trying to find any excuse I can to do car stuff right now.

Lol that would be awesome if a meet were to occur.

I just found another reason why Guam sucks, I cant get the Redline transmission fluid and gear oil that i wanted cause they don't ship to Guam or have and distributors in Guam as well I gotta find some kind of replacement then or buy it and ship it home and get my father to ship it to me...

Not sure where that is off the top of my head. But we can meet up sometime or you should ride with us out to a track day or something.

As these guys said, I've been running coilovers for a while now. I've got no complaints.
Like Nate said, They arent the most consistent, but they sure do beat stock suspension. I tracked my car once, and was amazed with how well it handled. Stiffened the car up quite a bit. and for $850, I cant complain. They're the dampening has 30 adjustments, and has independent ride height, and spring rate adjustments.
I'm running BC Racing coils, btw.

That would be pretty awesome!

I may have been spoiling my valentine (rx8) this weekend by buying her window tint and buying some LED interior lights I'm going all the way down to 5%

Did you get them used, or did you just get a really good deal on them? I want to say I saw them advertised for a little over $1,200 when I looked.

whoa negative, I wouldn't go that far down, 5% is limo tint i'm telling you from experience you will get pulled over for that. 20% is a safer choice keep in mind our interiors are black so that is going to add to the overall visibility when someone is looking at the car.

Damn... 5% tint is dark as hell... but i like it!! I feel like it's going to look really good with red interior lights and once i can light up the foot well also. I'm going for a red and black theme. Once i get back to the states i just want to get it re painted cause the weather out here is harsh on a car's paint job

I agree with Nate, you're going to really be pushing your luck with 5%. Lowest I would feel ok with going is MAYBE 15%.

Time to pour out some Olde English for a fallen comrade.
A buddy of mine who is a firefighter sent me this from the B–W Parkway yesterday.

Also, saw this yesterday, and wondered if any of you MD guys wanted to look into getting some ones with "RX-8s" on it instead of "Euros".

Or, if any of you guys are up for it, I'd be seriously interested in getting some kind of Mid-Atlantic RX-8 Owners Club started up and getting some decals for us. Maybe Bladeiai would be willing to be volunteered (some times referred to as being volun-told) to come up with a design for us?

Oh I do plan on doing an autocross event this year at least once or twice. Haven't decided on how I wanted to build this yet.

Thanks, I wasn't expecting to find one either. I have to admit this Velocity Red has grown on me big time.

Oh and does anyone have any recommended shops who know their stuff around mazdas and rotaries? I do plan on getting some more stuff done this year. I think the first week I had my car I already had ordered my intake and installed it.

Damn, that is cheap! Now if only I had a spare set of rims and wasn't shopping for something to commute in (I'm getting 15mpg highway with your old 4.777s)!

So many wants! So little money!

So what are we expecting for autocross turn-outs this year? I will be missing the first CDC event due to a Bachelor party in Philly, but I expect to make it to most of the nearby events this year. I'd love it if we could get a pretty good showing.

Sure, but open the group up and call it M.A.R.C. (Mid-Atlantic Rotary Club) for those 3's & 7's out there too. I have a vinyl guy if need be.
