the autokrats meet was Lame-o, a lot of people showed up, but I felt like a juvenile delinquet ( a bunch of kids running from the cops!!) We got no love out there, the bacon came pouring in and shooed us out. No Bueno! It was nice to see a few 8's out there!!

ditto on that, I thought I'd be the young guy there, guess not...
seeing a couple of 8's together did made me smile, though... The last few meets sounded like fun, I don't know what happened here. Really, isn't there just a damn parking lot someplace where we wouldn't be bothered?

New to the club, but comin up on my car's first b-day. If you see a brilliant black w/ chrome fuel door, app. package, etc. in the Gaithersburg area that's probably me. For all of you Gaithersburg folks, I'm a manager at a local health club if anyone wants a free day or two to check it out.

Ms. Jackson, just out of curiosity, where was your lunch w/ the assclown & whatnot? It sounds like my setting but not like something I'd ever say. My sincerest apologies if it was me. I doubt it though. I would've thanked you & definately given props for the car. The only comment I've ever gotten from a female about the 8 is either that it is "cute" or "Is that a Mazda?". Thus, I would've taken notice. Just in case you think it was me...not gay

lol, I was just being sarcastic.....My lunch was in Arundel mills at Panera Bread.

I have the chrome fuel door as well, looks really sharp with the wheels and mirrored window tint I have.

As far as my rear end (on the car that is...) The accident was 3 days after I had the mazdaspeed kit and other mods done, I did cry a little but I was a pissed more than anything, but what can you do, you cant saw the sawdust, it was an accident after all.
The guy's insurance is takining care of everything so no worries.

What health club do you work at, do they provide good facials there??

Welcome to the club, and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!

Happy Thanksgiving back at ya. Arundel Mills isn't my neck of the woods *phew* I work for Sport & Health. We don't offer facials at my location, but we are sistered with Serenity Day Spa. They offer all sorts of fun make-over items at the S&H spa locations. I can try to figure out if I have an applicable discount at the spa locations if you ever need anything.

Sorry to hear about the accident. I'm glad insurance is taking care of it all.

Happy Turkey Day, all.

I feel you. I need to go & buy a set, but I've been procrastinating. It's a lot more fun to spend 700-800 on performance than it is a set of tires.

Yeah i understand.. i went to get an estimate on how much it would cost for some blizzak tires and they told me $643 for all 4 and to be put on.. i'm like "Thanx".. I think i'll just keep the tires if have on there now..(they are fairly new) and see how that works out.. if not i'll just buy two blizzaks..(the rear ones..) just to get some attraction.

Coker, if you're running stock tires, I can tell you your outcome. I bought my 8 last December & I used to make frequent drives to Lancaster, PA (Amish country). You'll stick to dry & wet roads. You'll even manage to push through thick fresh powder (I drove in 6 inches of fresh powder & it was a blast...nothing speedy, but still fun). However, don't even try slush. There were 2 occasions where I got so tired of going 2mph that I flipped my car around when I got within a half mile of my house and drove home FWD style. Also, don't forget: if you drive...spiritedly, your aren't going to have anywhere near the wet/dry traction you have in the summer. Don't push her too hard around the corners.

Anyone tried out the Blizzaks yet? How's the handling?

Beermonster, I, too, drive the brilliant black. I'm down for brainstorming on cosmetics any time you are.
