Yes. But it will depend on the schedule for the weekend. I'm planning to do a one day drive for this right now. If money allows me to do an overnight somewhere that could change.

Looks like this is shaping up nicely.

I thought about including Bear Notch Road in there but the last time I tried that Road it was packed with Tourists and was barely moving. I actually turned around and went back to the Kanc.

I was talking with Dana and Jay at Synaptic3 on Saturday and they said Hurricane Mtn. Road is real fun.

If everyone is in I will contact that hotel. I need a confirmed headcount for the hotel though to see if I can get a discounted rate.

Looks like we have about 10 - 12 confirmed so far?
I will start a list. Please add your name if you are confirmed and if you are bringing a guest. Color and Make/Model of your vehicle.

Thanks!

i just spoke with Dana at Synaptic3 about making a stop at their shop at some time over the weekend. What we came up with for now is having a BBQ, Dyno Runs/ Dyno Drag Racing, shop tour, and a general meet and greet. They are great guys and great for the New England Rotary crowd, as Ian can also attest to. They want to help us out and support us as much as possible, and this will be a great way for us all to meet them (if you haven't already) and for them to meet us.

what i am thinking is making this a 2 day event. Saturday we can do the rotary run and sunday we can do the Synaptic3 meet. for those coming up from far distances, we will figure out a way to get you guys a place to stay if you want to do both. Dana and I couldn't realistically come up with a way for us to do both, as getting to Synaptic3 early in the morning and leaving before noon will be unrealistic for some, and we can all get the max out of the BBQ if we have more time; thats why we are planning on just doing the Synaptic3 meet the next day.

Here's the new tentative game plan:

Saturday 11:00am
Tilton Island Park
Tilton, NH
(Drive, Sight See, Lunch, Drive, Sight See, Dinner, Beer?)

Sunday 11:00am
Synaptic3
Candia, NH
(BBQ, Meet and Greet, Dyno Runs, Raffle?)

what do you guys think?

Thats funny Rick!

I think I must have emailed Dana a link to this as you guys were talking.

This sounds great, but logistically this may be tough.

Let me play with the map a bit more and see if I can tweak it as far as drive times and direction of things to avoid back tracking and make this all work for a Sunday meet at Dana's shop.

I'll post more later for the map.

MMMM and they put on a good BBQ too. I have enjoyed one before and its good eats and entertainment. The guys are super friendly and do good work. Their shop is great and they know how to relate with their customer's and potential customers.

I am a new customer because of the BBQ that I attended. Its a great way for them to network and get referrals as well

Start of New Run Configuration.

Here is the beginning.

I ended at G&H Pizza in Lincoln. AWESOME pies! It will be mid afternoon when we arrive there and I am sure that any driving snacks will have worn off by then.

I was thinking we could hit the Kanc then after "lunch" and room over in Conway???

Rick does this work for you? You were planning Waterville Valley which is quite the backtrack

Any other feedback?

A "good" BBQ, eh? Is there really such a thing as a bad BBQ??

Enticing . . .

hopefully I will be able to work out 2 days, but I doubt it.

I live literally about 30 seconds from Synaptic3, so I'll definitely be doing the Sunday, the Saturday event should work out as well.

(Still wanna do a Pacific Coast Highway drive.... the whole thing. 1100? miles of curves )

I was also on the Fall 08 NEMotorsport run, and I would highly recommend the Hurrican Mountain run. I didn't recall bottoming out at any point, but I have not lowered the car.

Day 2 Section

Well like Hurricane Mtn. Road, Bear Notch is not recognized either. These are both seasonal roads which is why.

Here is the Second Day Run.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...76218&t=p&z=14

After Bear Notch Road to Synaptic3:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...,0.076218&z=14

If we leave by 9am Sunday then we should hit Synaptic at 1pm or so.

If this route is good for everyone, Amuse, please place on the first post as the official route.

I have an email into a motel in North Conway for Lodging. Base rate is $60/night + tax. I'll see if I can do better.

Looks like about 275 miles of twisties!

With the main cruise on Saturday I'm definitely down for meeting you in Worcester, R/A. Plenty of time to figure out the details of that, though.

not sure of the dyno runs at Synaptic3. ill have that info up as we get closer. it's an all wheel dyno, so they're going to have dyno drag racing with a christmas tree as well with 2 cars going head to head. should be pretty cool.

the dates are May 2nd and May 3rd. rain date is the weekend after.
