Fellow rotary owners, I'd like to propose an idea to you guys for the next coming months, a small local event.

I've notice that some of the other guys in here are having their own Rotary Highway Run in their states which I wish I can attend and be part of, however they're a little to far for me to make it. So that's why I thought of a Highway Run for us New Yorkers as well as Long Islanders like myself and also anyone within their mile range who would like to join us and think this is a good idea, which I'm pretty sure some of you guys here have thought about this.

When: Not sure, sometime when this coldass weather goes away maybe around spring or summer, but that's the least of our concerns, I just need to know what you guys think about this idea. Place: The I495-Long Island Expressway (71.02 mile) or whichever other highways anyone else thinks its a nice long highway to run in, I'm open to suggestions or ideas. (^_^)

I'm not trying to compete with anyone having a similar run like this, I just thought that some of us would like to have something like this locally where we don't have to drive far away outa sate for a run we can have in our state of NY (^_^). It'll be fun if we can make this happen, I've never seen a caravan run of only RX7s and 8s all in one long highway turning heads, ^^) it would be a nice event for all of us. I hope you guys approve of this and we start planning for our Highway run of '09!!

so you would travel the 71 miles on the lie but you wont travel 10 miles to come to jersey?......yeah that makes sense

 

guess didnt think of that...lol..but jersey its more than 10miles away from me, ilive in LI almost by the end..then again it was just an idea for a local event its not necessary to step on my head and run over it like that dude..damn!

71 MILES, that's just the highway, and plus the miles to get there from NJ, come with us this sunday to bear mountain.....
