Also, we've scheduled a garage tour with Racers Edge @ 11:45AM at their garage(#12), this is right after one of the practice sessions. Jordan 'The Kid" Taylor and Todd "The Beast" lamb, will be on hamd to answer questiosns. We're still working on other tours as well.

Great first day! Perfect weather, good people and the #30 RX-8 gets the pole! I think the encouragement Jarrod & I gave them before qualifying is what did it.

Tomorrow looks to be just as good.

Now the bad news. My wife has taken ill and will not make it tomorrow. However, her loss is your gain. The first person to PM me can have her ticket, no charge. We'll work out the details of getting it to you.

This also means that I will be leaving earlier. I will be at the Pilot, ready to leave at 8:30. See you then!

 

definitely a fun day! my head and ears are burnt! but the #30 gave me ideas on cai. hopefully the unfinished project holds up throughout the weekend

hey guys rx8 coming outta teh shop after 3weeks since it got backed into over 5k to fix it and hear is the coming soon pics i even finished painting the body kit had to get new exhaust and stuff i am now running hks hipower stock cat racing beat induction scoop and stock modded airbox so that with a good tune is coming soon been a long haul fixing it and all just dieing to gett acklo.

 

man.. it was so weird cause this v red 8 came up next to me at a light on sawmill. two good looking chicks from what i could tell. all i could do was wave haha

i used to live off of sawmill and hard and there was another vr exactly like mine. sport, strakes, clear corners. only way to tell them apart is that ive got red lights for my corner markers and the ud plate

 

I'm getting together with some iRacing guys for a night at Columbus Motor Speedway next Saturday, July 10. I've done this several times in the past and it's always a good time watching some old fahoined short track racing.

Been a while since I posted here as I sold my 8 around two years ago. I went to the Autox to race this last weekend. Saw a maroon mazdaspeed 8 come to the event on a trailer. Looked very sweet and looked like you had some good runs. Also talked to one dude with a black 8 before run group one started.

I was in the 07 Impreza STI.

having a meet up with just any body that wants to come. at shull park in gahanna, next to the skatepark. august 21st (saturday). starting around noonish. bring tents, chairs, food, drinks, whatever. we can all try to get dinner at coaches also. if you're interested just let me know

I noticed everyone is still doing well..good to hear. Since I'm on my 2nd engine, does anyone know a good mechanic around Columbus Area? I have almost 66k and want to have my belts, hose, etc check. I want to avoid the dealer because I think they charge $300-$600 dollars for the 60k checkup.

A bit late, but here's what I got at Mid-Ohio a couple of weeks ago.

 

I've been giving some consideration to doing this myself, as I'm approaching 89,000 also on my 2nd engine. I think I have an alternator whine too - especially at start-up. Probably just run that until it dies, as I've been spending money like a drunken sailor lately.

Brian, I know you're well over 100,000 now. Did you change your belts and hoses?
