Really was a great day weather-wise. And a terrific turnout! Everyone must have had a little cabin fever from all this snow.

The rest of the pics HERE.

A great start to 2010. 30+ cars! From all over the state, even borrowed a Maryland R3 in the mix for a while.

Since we had such good results in Richmond we may have to plan a couple more up that way. Next BIG one is down south though, headed to Virginia International Raceway (VIR) for a weekend in April. Bring your tent!

There full size posters, its the blue rx8 poster only in the photo, just shoot me a PM, I usually get a few each year before the new ones come in and before they throw them away. The duct and such is stock, they're top-mount inter-coolers from the factory. Those engine bay pics you see with the pipe going back to front are front mount conversions.

Come to Huguenot Road Starbucks on Friday at like 8:30p and there are a few rotaryheads there that will ****** this up. I'll be there and if they're not I'll take it off your hands and hold it for them.

Yeah I gave some away last year to them, guess if nobody claims them I will, I just hate to just throw the things away becuase personally I would love to have some original posters of my cars on the wall in my garage.

Hey guys

okay long story short, I've been on the forums for a while, and I don't quite have my 8 yet, I'm saving up for it (moving out and such has put a big dent into my rx-8 savings) I'm usually hanging around the MD and Socal thread, but I figured I should probably get in touch with the people who are actually IN my state. I was afraid you all would start teasing me like rotr8 does since I don't actually have an 8 yet...

but yes! Hi

- Consider yourself teased.

Welcome!

I won't be back for a year, but the rest of the VA folks are pretty cool and they meet up fairly often.

Is there a different thread for Northern Va? I was looking but couldn't find it, cause lord I've been seeing 8's all over the place and I wanted to see if any of them were on the forums. (though most of them were externally stock so...I dunno)

sephy and Bigbacon, I try my best to post over here every month, but sometimes I forget. If you want to get info from the horses mouth, check our forum (link below to the website).

We have monthly meets (3rd Saturday of every month) that are all over "Central" Va. March's meet is looking like it's at Devil's Backbone Brewing Company which is around Wintergreen Ski Resort. Hope you can make one.

That actually doesn't look too far of a drive for me, I may consider coming....again, if I can convince someone to take me, cause I'm NOT coming in my corolla, despite it's awesome mpg

^_^ I'm rather enthused to meet everyone, finally some fellow Virginians!!

Now that we have our very own Mazda blue diamond flag, so generously donated by Mazda Corp & Lynchburg Mazda, should we make it official with a meet? Of course we should. Kind of an ceremony donating the flag to the club kind of thing.

We could have a club flag signing, pictures with the flag, wrap the flag around your car ... whatever.

Date: Saturday 8/21/10
Place: Lynchburg Mazda
Starting time: 10:00 am
Lunchtime: 1:00 pm
Drive-time: 2:00 pm

The day includes:

* Mazda goodie box from the local area's Mazda rep!!
* As always, a great drive on some of our local curvy mountain roads
* Adding more info soon

Side note - what would it take for you to come and detail my baby when I get home from the war? It's gonna need some loving after sitting for a year...
