Hi All - sorry to be MIA for a bit. The semester has begun and work work work. I'd be up for a FEB meet for sure.

Also, still have the CEL and it is has got to be the O2 sensor that is after my (gutted) CAT. I'm going to get a new O2 sensor and see if that helps the rough running under 3000 RPMs. I just read that if you have a CEL code that the ECU will go into some kind of 'safe mode' which may be causing my lack of power and rough running below 3k RPM?
I may just get an RP Super cat next month and be done with it!

I found this O2 simulator that may do the trick. Anyone heard of this thing?

http://www.magnumtuning.com/en/produ...nsor_simulator

FYI the new season of Top Gear started last week!

If you have a gutted cat you will have a CEL...there are no two ways around it. I have a midpipe and have a CEL and am not stuck in any sort of limp mode. And O2 sims don't work on the RX8 and there is no reason to have one on the rear of the cat as it doesn't provide any used data.

Yea that's kind of what I thought. I'm going to just order up a RP Super cat and be done with it!

Stig- John is right, those O2 sims are worthless on our car.
You'll need an AccessPort to mask the CEL.

Also, you mentioned having issues around 3K RPM... this is close to when the SSV opens/closes.
And I recall seeing a wire securing your valve
Did you ever install that e-clip I gave you?

and headliner, clutch brake and gas pedals, gauge cluster, sunroof motor and glass, and some other odds and ends that people keep asking me... I swear, somehow they know what is going to get me to go out there and keep working on that stuff.

I gotta get a torch down there and see if I can heat the dif. and powerplant frame enough to get them to de-fuse... There are still some fun things left to do out there.

Oh, snapped some pics of the wheels I bought. . . I like them better than the OEMs for sure.

Compression tester it appears to be. Doesn't look like the TR-01 though.

Nice.

Yup.
I didn't want to go with the TR-01, this unit is way more advanced.
Test up to four rotors at the same time (though we would only use two).
You can adjust the sample rate to get a detailed waveform of each rotor facing.
Allows you to overlap the waveforms between the rotors.
