Akron/Cleveland 8 Owners.
Weird. I just had someone at work stop by and tell me they saw a very nice looking blue RX-8 driven by a nice looking girl in North Royalton at the intesection of State and rt 82. Headed North on State for a while.
But here's the odd thing - he says she had Hawaii license plates. That's something I would think would get noticed.

Powerslot Rotors (Front; 764PSL & R).....$210
(Rear; 763PSL & R).....$200
Hawk HPS Street Pads (Front; HB470F.643).....$70
(Rear; HB378F.565).....$60
I figure I'd offer these goods to the local 8 owners first before posting to the Sale Forums.
Sounds like the Boneyard meet went well! Hopefully, I can make the next one.

So I made the hour long drive down to Park Mazda today. I got to view their 46" HD TV for 4 hours. Then they gave me my bill for $50 for my oil change and tire rotation and I left. Marlon is cool and all...but that will be the last time I go down there for something non-engine related. What a joke. *sigh* Oh yea...I forgot the best part. "What is a shock sensor? Is it some kind of alarm? Both of our master techs have never heard of such a thing." Anyway...Cascade in 5000 miles or bust!
Oh yea...Tony...Sunday you said that you didn't think your car would sound different at the autocross...boy were you wrong. I gotta get me one of those...that sound is what I have been looking for.

Dr Rob. I can help him with the intake area, but the midpipe is definitely your area...............anything you can prescribe.

A new assignment for DeViLbOi........????
Nice pics too. I'm glad you got the camera working. Not to sound like I'm full of myself or anything, but I really want to get one of those shots blown up larger for a wall mount. What's the best size to go with for the resolution that you use and where should I have it done?
Cost isn't too much of an issue as I'll be taking the money out of the winnings I got from Mark.

If someone has a video camera I can press a button. :P I expected to hear more coming from your intake but it just totally changed the pitch of your car. When you rolled up at the beginning I couldn't even tell the difference but once you put your foot down it was a different story. I heard the Revi on Friday and it didn't sound too different...but then again I was next to them doing 70 mph.
As for the picts...the largest picture you can get printed of what I took is 30"x20". I normally take it up to Dodd camera over on Mentor Ave to get stuff printed. I would say that you guys would probably end up printing like 14x11 which would run you $10. They have a couple different styles of paper you can print them on...I think the glossy would do best for these. And if you guys want any editing done to them before you print them let me know. I'll be glad to mess around with them for you.

I'm a fan but like every shifter it takes a little while to get used to. I also didn't add grease to it so it's probably a little rougher than it would be had I done it (I'm gonna take it off again this week and add some if the tranny oil hasn't already come up and greased it by then).
It definitely has a shorter throw (duh) and it also has a better 'feel' that you're in the gear you want to be in. Almost like it's following an older shifter path where you're shifting in a maze (ie H) and restricted to the gear you're looking for. I do think it'll help out a fair amount on a track. Also might help if I get a new shift **** to help the weight/feel.
I'm also probably gonna have some seriously crap mileage this fill up because I keep on shifting unneccessarily to play.

Like I said...I really am liking the VooDoo **** that it came with. If you want to try it out for a bit one of these days let me know since Im pretty sure it is only available via mail order. I like the feel of it much better than stock and it also makes the shifter even shorter than it already is.

I'll bring some purell wipes. Really I still don't know what the deal is for me on the 21st. My buddy (ie. my race instructor and insurance agent) in Medina hasn't managed to get permission from his wife. If he's coming with me then I'll have to swing by to pick him up so caravaning might be a pain. We might be able to meet on Rt. 18 and 71 if we can pick a time.
If he isn't driving down with me then I'm in for a caravan with whoever goes. Figure I'll worry about it after this weekend when I know a little more.

That is what I was thinking...I have to drive to Solon to pick up a friend that is going with me...then I figured we would meet up around 71 and 271 and caravan down to MidOhio. Her and I are pretty open as to when though. I know that someone mentioned on Friday about caravaning down as well...was it you Tom?
As for your buddy...have you told him to offer the Patrick Dempsey autograph?

Moot point now. He just called me as I was typing out why avoiding bringing down wives who don't race to a race and asked me to get another ticket... For his wife.
Oh well. At least she's been around racers for along time so she knows what to expect.

I had invited a friend from the office to come down with me. She was interested but was putting off buying tickets until she could confirm she was going. I showed her the pict today that Marlon posted and within minutes tickets were purchased. *shrug* I guess I know where I stand. :P
btw...you had said that you were going to check and see if the SS was getting lubbed by the tranny fluid. My brief understanding was that you still needed to grease it as the tranny fluid will drip off while the grease will stay on when the car sits.
