Should be fine. Although the dspecs are probably as stiff as Brian's stances the main culprit in endlink problems are adjustments to the ride height of the car. Since the htechs barely drop the car they keep the suspension geometry close enough to stock that the endlinks/sways keep up just fine. Might not be the worst idea in the world to put some grease in your bushings to help out since you have been on those for a while but you should be fine with your links.

If you do upgrade you probably don't have to get upgraded endlinks but it's a good idea. I had the ones from RB on hand because I figured it was just a matter of time and you don't want to get caught on the first day of a track weekend without a front sway bar. FWIW you can live without the rear.

well, I picked up a progress rear sway for 100 bucks, so i'm on the prowl for a front sway here eventually. And I might as well do the endlinks too if I can find a decent deal on those.

Also: Is there much interest in getting a group for the Oct. 4th Lemons race? I know I brought it up last week, but I'm just curious if people really want to go do that or not.

I'M BACK!!!

My back and legs are killing me. Woke up around 3am and started packing and moving.
Finished the last of the move (for the day) at 10:30pm.
Wired up everything in preparation for Time Warner Cable the next morning and managed to pass out at 1:30am.
I'm exhausted!

hmm, its looking like my clutch is going to die on me...

When driving on the highway say at 60mph and i push into the gas my rpm spikes up but i dont really gain much speed (power loss)

Im still getting pretty good torque in lower gears though.

So am i going to just need a new clutch or a flywheel too, any suggestions?

I have my old stock clutch and flywheel if you want to save a few $$.
When I did my clutch/flywheel swap, I think I spent almost $1000 total.

On another note... haven't seen another meet setup lately.
Want to come down to my new "neck-of-the-woods" and meet in Streetsboro?
Brandon (streetsrx8) can finally meet everyone too.

I was thinking Buffalo Wild Wings:

I replaced the flywheel when I did the clutch.
Steve came over and helped too.
It was sometime earlier this year.
You didn't realize my "additions" in my signature

B-Dubs = Fail!

Not to hate, but their wings have just fallen in quality and their prices have shot up.

I know Ryan and I talked about going to "On Tap" in Fairlawn, but nothing really came of it.
If you're looking to stay in the 'Burro (wonder why, lol) , I would say Roadhouse, but they've built so much up there, I don't really know what is close by anymore.

That was quite a day doing your clutch and flywheel... it made me never want to have to do it to my car, that's for sure.

I don't think it was THAT bad.
Worst part was trying to lift/align the transmission, even with the trans-jack.

People replace their flywheel because its lighter and notice slight acceleration gains in 2nd gear.
Other than that, no real reason to.
But when people replace their clutch, they just do the flywheel since the tranny is already down.

So there really is no maint. reason to do it so Tim can get away with just the $400 clutch disc...yes?

Unless there is noticeable damage to the flywheel's surface, no other reason to change it out.
But at that point, you're stuck waiting for another flywheel because you don't want to install a new clutch on a damaged flywheel.
In his case, if he notices damage to the flywheel, I still have my stock one laying around.

Rear Sway bar. . . . . .

Well, tried to install my rear sway by myself tonight... and have been defeated.

I can't seem to get the endlinks off the bar... all they do is spin when I try to loosen the heavily rusted nut. See attached pic.

I can see the whole assembly spinning and don't know what to do next other than cut them off and buy new endlinks.

Swearing at them didn't work...

When I replaced my front endlink I had to use an allen (5mm I believe) to keep it from turning.
The hex was on the left side going off the pic you posted.

So the hex goes into the endlink opposite the side of the nut?

Thumbs up Axial Flow Short Shifter?

I bought one about a month and a half ago. After three weeks in the car, I pulled it back out last week. It is a beautiful piece of engineering, but not for me. The gears were too close to suit my style. But I have to admit, it is is exactly as advertised. It is like a rifle bolt, and very easy to install in 10 minutes by ANYONE.

If you have looked at these and would like one, drop me a note. I would be happy to sell it at a discount. Rather see someone enjoy it than have it sit in my garage.
