Yeah, figure this one out guys....

My CEL turned off. Normally this is a good thing, but I don't have a cat on the car right now. The catless portion of my midpipe is on right now since I'm not racing so I don't burn up the highflow. Odd

 

Mine would blink on and off for a couple weeks before it just stayed on...it was weird. On a better note...mileage is up 35 miles so far on the MM Base Tune.

 

My car likes playing little games like that too... put the cat on, CEL stays on... take the cat back off... it turns the CEL off for a few drive cycles, then back on.

My air pump is on its way out as it only works about 70% of the time, so that is one cause for the CEL... the other is that Davesport cat I got throws a CEL sometimes also.

In my frequent trip to autozone I just have them pull the codes to make sure something isn't lurking in the background.

 

You know...if you get an AP you can read your own codes.

 

Why buy the AP to use as a code reader when autozone does it for free and I'm there once a week anyway?

I mean, I could buy the AP and then get my car tuned... but that's upward of 600 bucks... hard to justify when the future of my lovely car is unknown. . .

 

Yeah, but it's been on for a solid week and a half since I took the cat off. Pretty much 50 or so miles after the cat came off the CEL came on stayed on. I really don't care so much as I know why it's on, it's just a head scratcher that it turned off and the cat isn't on the car.

Maybe the car knew I was putting the cat back on this weekend for Toledo and decided to turn the CEL off for me.

 

Alright that is fine, I've always got it in the back of my car. Next time there is a get together i'll give it back. Is Kristen still having problems with that car? Geeeze

Or you can use one of your 10K hours of vacation time and go to the PA meet with us on the 22nd?

I could but nobody would be there to cover for me so I would get fired...I think not. I really wish I had a job that I could take time off when I wanted and have cushy salary hours where I could make up time when I needed to...but I don't.

Well John... name a time and destination, see how many people are interested.
There is a Chili's in Macedonia... same plaza as our Outback meets.
I would call and see if they can reserve tables so we're not crammed like at Outback.

 

That's what I thought I was doing. And it doesn't do me any good to call ahead to see if they take reservations if I don't know if anyone is willing to go.

 

No John... you were making a suggestion... "Chili's or something" isn't a set destination.
You need to actually setup a definite where/when you want a meet to occur.
Some people may not show interest until they know for sure where/when its at.
