Well...I was bringing a Speed6, a Rustang and a Battery Charger down with me. I have no problems with more pplz.

 

This will be my first time going to the Winking Lizard (and their menu online looks really good).
My only concern is that when I did a Google Map with satellite view, the parking lot did not appear very big.
Will we have an issue parking at 6:30pm or should we consider a different time?
My buddy might come up with his Trans Am too.

 

Parking at the Winking Lizard in Peninsula always seems be an issue but usually works itself out most of the time.

 

If parking was really an issue we could park at one of the parks and then shuttle people over only taking up a few parking spaces...

Hey Jon what kind of Trans Am is he bringing I loved the 4th and 4.5th Generation Ws6's I almost got one instead of my 8.

 

He has the 4th Gen F-body '98 WS6 running an LS1 engine.

ok. to all the mazda owners in the Cleveland and akron area.. I have to tell you about a great dealership.. I just got my rx8 used and called the delaership about the reflash now out . I spoke with sandy at West side Mazda and she was so nice and is takign care of everything for me under warr. I have 600 miles left till the 60k driveline warr runs out so she is having the car inspected, reprogrammed, and most likely the motor mounts repolaced al lunder warrenty. I have never had a dealership go out of its way to make a first and lasting impression.

I normally would do oil changes, and small stuff my self. but they just got them selves my business. So if you have any needs please call Sandy - she is the service manager at westside mazda on Brookpark road.

 

So because they took care of TSB's that should have been taken care of when you bought the car under warranty you are willing to pay them $50 an oil change? And didn't they extend the warranty on the 04's to 70K miles?

 

I was told the warr was extended to 60k.. No I am willing to go to the dealership becuase of the time that the service manager has teken to dicuss the cars, the issues, and the things that they are doing to make customers happy..

They reflashed the computer today, replaced the bad motor mounts, and gave me a new cat, all under the extended warrenty.. I only asked for the reflash..

oh and the oil change is only 30.00 not 50.00. believe me. I am cheap.. so if I am willing to spend a little extra for the service. they have to be doing alot to impress me..

 

I've taken mine to WestSide Mazda three times and had no complaints. Actually I had one complaint because my recall hadn't shown up at MazdaUSA.com but that cleared up the other day w/o me calling anyone.

They don't give me any crap and don't try to sell me anything I don't ask about but all the work I've had done was Warranty work. I plan on stopping back there something next month to talk about MS or other body kit work just to see if they'll hook me up with a deal.

They also give you a rental car if you take your ride there in the morning on the way to work. Tends to take out any hassle.

Have other people used them and had problems? I know lots have complained about Bedford and complimented Cascade in Cuyahoga Falls but I hadn't heard anything about WestSide.

BTW - Anyone know a good place to get a kit painted/installed? I'm still shopping and probably won't do anything until the fall but it'd be nice to start figuring out where to go now. Always a chance someone could get me a better deal on the body kit or parts through their shop than I could get on my own.

 

Oh and I recommend the Philly CheeseSteak on Garlic Bread and the P-Freds Fries from the Lizard. Great freakin' meal. Probably cause you a small heart attack but some things are worth it.

Cat = Probably under a TSB, not something you would normally replace or inspect

My Oil Change at Classic Mazda for 1000 miles was $48.75. Under warranty they replaced the Gas cap and said that if my CEL came back on they would replace the fuel filler hose.

But anywho...Brookpark is closer than Cuyahoga Falls so maybe my 5000 mile checkup will be there.

 

Hey i'm new to the forum just got my 8 about a month ago. 2004 GT Nordic Green MT. Well I had a shifting problem in high RPMS it wouldn't shift well sometimes not at all. I took it to classic Mazda in Mentor and they said the car was absolutely fine and nothing was wrong. wtf..so then I took it to MazdaSaab in Bedford and they replaced a whole bunch of parts in my transmission all under warranty and it runs great now !

 

OK.... who was the Galaxy Gray RX8 that stalled out in the middle of RT8 at the light before Boston Mills and had traffic backed up? Forcing cars to go from two lanes down to one really sucks around there...lol.
Anyway... I felt bad for the guy and if I didn't have to be at work by 6:00pm for my mid-year review, I would have stopped to help (it was already 5:40pm).

I purchased my car at Bedford and they were really nice over there. There service department has received mixed reviews though. Sounds like you got lucky.

I have a Galaxy Gray with tinted windows. You'll normally find me buzzing up and down SOM, but I have been known to air it out a little.

The dealer that has been the only one to get regularly good reviews is Cascade Mazda of Cuyahoga Falls. Avoid Classic and Fred Vincent like the plague and Bedford seems hit or miss.

 

I think i've seen you. I saw a gray mazda parked at East Gate near the outer part of the parking lot. I was gettin starbucks accross the street lol. Yeah Fred Vincent are a bunch of IDIOTS. And Classic told me I had no problems when I clearly did. I'll try Cascade Mazda maybe if I don't have another good visit to Bedford.

Yea...that isn't my 8...we still haven't tracked down who that is. Mine has the really annoying glossy tint on it.

Well i spotted two 8's today while driving around. A black one with a liscense plate A-Team 1 or something like that, tried to follow him but then he got on the highway. As well i saw a Grey one on 91 heading North going under the 480 bridge at 4:32pm
