Correct! You'll just need to remove the front 4 mounting screws that connect the undercarriage to the bumper.
Honestly... with a friend helping, you should get it done in under 3 hours (longer than usual since its your first time taking the bumper off)

Hey Tony... I forgot to mention the other 4 mounting screws thats underneath. You have 4 screws for the center undercarriage, and then there are 2 more screws (on each side) for a smaller plastic piece. So basically, remove all 8 screws along the front edge!

Will Do. Thanks for the tip. I suppose if I can't get it all off right I'll just break out the electric chainsaw. I've been looking for a way I can get the genuine "yeah, dude, I totally scraped a wall going 130mph sideways in a drift but I still beat the Viper and won $14" look.

When it comes down to it, I'm sure I'll figure it out. Besides, a little over a year ago I swapped bodies, installed a lift kit, and did a completely new paint job on my Jeep...in my driveway. If I was able to do that, I can do anything.

Nothing wrong with a chainsaw... I used a reciprocating saw on my exhaust

And if you're bad with the snaplocks (like I am), you can go to the dealer and pick up a bag (I think there was about a dozen in a bag). I forget the price.

Well... throughout the week I work 6pm to 6am... so it would be difficult to do it Wednesday. Next weekend is my wife's birthday, so I'm taking her out. And obviously the weekend after is Memorial Day weekend.
This is a busy month for me, but I'll be available the last weekend of the month starting May 30th.

I'll help you.......if you donate the intake to the "Tony_673's RX8 Modification Foundation".

It's gotta be tax deductible.

Hey docgatorx8er... I might be able to help next Friday, but I figure that you'll be working. Sunday the 18th is another option... thats the best I can honestly do.
Too bad we didn't schedule for this weekend... no plans (but to bum around).

Dick Goddard says to expect rain Sunday... may not be the best day to do an intake swap... or else I might consider it.
Plus its Mother's Day... nobody having dinner with their mother nowadays?

Mother decided to go to Canada with dad instead of being with her two kids. Ah well...her loss.

As for the rain...I have a garage and Im like 2 minutes from Captains Stadium. I don't have many tools, nor ramps or a jack for that matter...but yall are more than welcome to borrow it if need be.

My stock intake won't be here until Tuesday. Sunday should be over by 2 or 3 o'clock. Plenty of time for Mom. Plus no wife............(taking applications if any cute girls lurking out there)

So... whats the final word on who is going to be at the Test-N-Tune?
When are you guys going to start showing up?
Wife and I are considering going (as a spectator and meet everyone), but don't want to drive an hour just to find out everyone bailed (with high gas prices and all).
Never been that far north, but I Google mapped the area and saw the stadium that was mention earlier (on route 91).
Its a pretty simple straight shot for me, 271 and get off at 91, then head north.
Is this going on in the stadium's parking lot? Where are spectators parking?
Sorry for all the questions, don't like to "roll-up" on the scene looking like an idiot because I don't know what I'm doing (which is true... but nobody needs to know).
I guess I can just listen for Kevin's midpipe he got from me yesterday and follow the sound (and the flames)

I plan on going at about noon.

Once you get to the stadium area, you'll see a pedestrian bridge that you'll drive under. On the left is the parking lot that it will be held in. If you turn left by the BP at the next intersection there is a parking lot immediately on the left. That is where spectators as well as those running park.

Don't worry about looking clueless. I'll be looking dirty. I meant to wash the car today but didn't have the chance. It's pretty filthy, too. Oh well.

See you there.

Jon, you can't miss it. There's cones everywhere. You make a left turn off 91 onto Vine and another immediate left into the parking lot.

I don't know how many people are coming to check it out. I'll be in the velocity red somewhere off the course...........LOL

Don't worry about feeling like an idiot. The whole point of this is more of a school and practice session. Besides. Your not driving...........

Tony, don't show up too late, Here's the schedule:
8:30 AM - Setup
Drivers Meeting 9:30AM
Morning Session 10AM-Noon
Lunch Noon-1PM
Afternoon Session 1PM-3:30PM or Rain comes

I'm going to try and get there around 1030 or so. It really is super easy to get to and you really can't miss a baseball stadium...unless it is Canal Park. :P Hope to see you there Jon.

Update: Then again...it doesn't look like the rain is going to hold off past 11. So maybe I won't be going. That sucks. Why is it that whenever we all try and get together it has to rain like a ****?
