St Louis area 8 owners
I bet I know a guy you work for/with. Quite the document and standards *****. I'm all for thorough documentation, but a document explaining the document you need to write about documentation is a bit excessive.
That was a great movie. I'm jealous that you guys actually had weather good enough to hand wash your cars. It's been shitty weather for forever here in gloomy Dayton. My car is filthy and she's starting to complain. (I've spoiled her)
The schnausberries taste like schnausberries.
Littering and....littering and...littering and...smokin' the reefer.
And the forever classic line..."Who wants a mustache ride? I vaunt von!" and "Move that gigantic cotton candy!"

Another project for the summer: Buffing and Polishing/filling in dings
I think we should make a day out of really getting the old shine back. I have a little bit of swirls and a lot of smal rock strikes on the front end. I also have plenty of scratches on the front end and a rock strike on the right fender. I've been wanting to do this for a while, but don't have the experience to be certain I won't mess up my paintjob.

I hear ya on the polishing job. I'm needing one as well. I've got a bunch of spots on the car that has paint without any polish on it due to all my luck with people/things hitting me over the past 6 months.

Chase-
I highly recommend that if you put on lowering springs that you also replace the struts, as the 8 is already a bit underdampened from the factory. There is a lot of info about this on the forum if you search a bit.
About shops - Mazda dealers will put on Mazdaspeed accessories, but they'll charge quite a lot. Aside from this I don't know about many speed shops besides adrenaline and Tuxedo park racing (Sauget, IL).
A great first mod is the axial flow short shifter. Its pretty much a must have.

ya i know i wanted an manual but the price difference between the two i was looking at was like 5000. I got mine for a good deal, so i guess having an auto rx8 is better than not having one
im just glad to be getting out of my Oldsmobile aurora

Any excuse to get out of an Olds is a good excuse to me. I hear you on that one. I went through two Olds Cutlasses. They both shot craps at 135,000 miles. Never had a good experience with that make.
Hey guys, this is a long shot, but, a friend of mine is looking for two IT programmers to work at his company. The office is in Clayton.
I don't know the exact nature of the work or pay, but he's a great guy - a 26 year old CEO, and his company is global and definitely going places.
I know from some posts in the loungue area that the ranks of RX8 owners are full of IT people, for some reason. If you're looking, hit me up and I will try to get the parties together.
