04rx8 what are you going for engine or looks with your mods? and what do you have done?

 

adjustable shocks/coilovers and sways were my first mods
axial flow short shifter cobb accessport are good upgrades as well
full exhaust is always great for sound and performance of the car too.

 

Brett, if you need some stock springs to switch out with those Teins, I could try to meet up with you somewhere and just swap mine for yours.

 

damn 00004, you have the same set of rims as me haha. oh well, we have different colored rides at least. The wheels are a pain to clean and keep scratches off of if you haven't already noticed.

What do you guys think of these wheels? I like them but dont at the same time.

I'm not a big fan of having that many spokes. I have always been a 5 or 6 spoke guy. But they don't look bad if you are into that sort of thing.

 

What brand are those rims? I like how the gunmetal color looks with the Ti grey.

 

Wheels arent bad needs a drop though to look a little better...I would never get wheels that are "iffy" if your paying however much for wheels they better be exactly what you want otherwise you'll regret it down the road

 

imma agree with douchebag (ryan) if your not set on the wheels dont do it. for the money you are going to spend they need to be something you love. Wheels can set any car off, you throw the wrong wheels on any car and it will take away from the look your going for. the easiest way to find wheels, or for me atleast, was just looking through members photos its time consuming but you will find something you love guaranteed. Cardomain is another great place to look since you dont have to just look at rx8s.

Yea I get what you guys are sayin about loving the wheels, the main reason I dont like them is because they are reps. But brand new volks would be around 2,000. Idk im gonna think about it they are for sale for 550 obo so I mean I can sell my stockers and spacers for 500 im sure. Wouldnt be losing too much if i decide I dont like em.

im looking to get mor hp and performace im looking to do coils and plugs and wires. plus the hypertech progrmmer and catback exhaust

 

Coils plugs and wires arent going to give you anymore perforamance unless the ones you have are already bad, if so they will help you but doubt any hp. Also the exhaust will maybe give you anywhere from 0-maybe 5 hp, as far as the hypertech programmer ive never heard of it but most people use the cobb on here, i think you can get about 10hp from that with a good tune.

 

If you sell your spacers, I might be interested. I want some of those eventually. And if you like the rims, go for it. 550 isn't bad for a set of rims at all, and I think they would work well with the TiGrey 8.

 

I dont think im going to get those wheels they have some curb rash and too many chips, but im still looking for new wheels. Ill keep you in mind for the spacers.

 

Cole I think the gunmetal looks a lot better than black, this is the dupli-color graphite grey.
