MINNESOTAns where are you?
Id be in but ill be in Utah hopefully up to my waist in powder.
So, I was rear ended last thursday on my way home from work by a guy in a corolla that wasnt paying attention
. I just got the estimate today: $3500 all his fault. I know this isnt related but I just had to vent since Ive been dealing with insurance companys the last several days.
Now Im stuck in a corolla for a week and a half
I take care of my car, but this thing is going to wish it was never created

Bummer....
SpeedRX8er: Cool, see you when you come in then!
Eifuku: That sucks. Hate car accidents. $3,500 seems like a lot of damage - exhaust, rear bumper and paint? Going to upgrade anything while you are at it?

Does that mean you finally get new tail lights?
Sorry. I had to find some silver lining
I always look behind me before pushing hard on the brakes due to the fact that the 8 has better stopping ability than most vehicles on the road.Sad to hear about that though Hepcat. I may be in this week to help test drive an 8 for a friend. I'll call first. What is your schedule this week?
With an '07 I doubt he was having moisture problems in the tail lights.
Yes I will get my lights replaced, but it's going to take 2 appointments, one was damaged in the accident and the other is under warranty and just came in yesterday.
Id do some upgrades but since its all under the other guys insurance im just going with OEM parts/service. Ive had enough with State Farm just to get to this point...
Actually I was at a dead stop waiting to turn left when the guy plowed into me. It was last thursday when we got all the snow and he was driving like hell for a snowy neighborhood full of kids.
Hows this for irony, my rental car is the same make/model/year that ran into me. Thing must be powered by 4 asthmatic gerbils...
At least I get to beat up a rental

Hey Hepcat...Are you going to be at the F1 Race event at Morrie's? Let me know. I am planning on being there....
F1
Haha-sorry, totally did not see the post here until now.
No-I have not made it to one of the F1 events in Maserati yet. They seem to be pretty cool, I always seem to have something going on when they have one. I should check it out sometime though...

No problem, it wasn't too hard to do. I think the toughest thing was getting the pan off, or maybe squeezing the tube of silicone.

My recommendations for someone when taking the stock pan off is to use a razor first and then a screwdriver, pry where it is not aluminum... had to tap down some scratch marks.

We'll see tomorrow morning if I have any leaks after I torque the bolts down.
Not only that but most of my tools are at your place Truemagellen.

I used a small impact wrench to take the bolts out (I don't have my ratchets and only have a couple of 10mm sockets here, no extensions).
