Does anyone have any idea what those lifts cost? I'd seen the 4 post lifts before on TV, but never found any place that actually listed a price.. it's always "call our sales department/distributor today!"

Screw that, if the list price is too much why should I waste my time.

I'm lucky I have a garage w/ a 10 1/2 foot ceiling. So I should be able to use one of these.

It shows $1,895 for the 4 post store on top: http://www.directlift.com/direct_park7.htm

This one is 9 inches taller: http://www.revolutionlifts.com/four-post.asp
not sure the price though.

Don't forget that if you get a lift of some kind, you usually have to pour reenforced concrete underneath it or it's going to break your floor. (supposedly)

Having a lift makes it about a million times easier to work on the car though.

that is the advantage of the low rise lift, the way it is designed it distributes weight and doesn't require an installation

the downside is much less accessability

these 4 posts ones I posted should be ok in a modern garage since it is similar to 4 tires but I imagine you are right it would punch through the concrete and who knows what else could happend :0

hehe, that would be sweet. One of my "dream mods" that I know I will never get around to is a carputer with 3-4 cameras around the car feeding into it.

It turned out nice Champa.

Not sure if you took this into consideration but if it is glossed it will probably throw glare on the windshield during the day.

Course if you have polarized sunglasses you can see through the glare but your passengers may complain.

When I said glare I was referring to on the windshield on a sunny day not the LCD.

Good to hear you had a good time driving there. Nothing worse than a boring drive through Nebraska. After driving a while. Nod off.

I love the east coast. Wouldn't mind living in Virgina either. Favorite state other than Minnesota is New York though. Upstate is beautiful around the Adirondacks and the Hudson. Lake George, and then Niagara I am hoping to go back there for our anniversary. My wife and I went there before we were engaged. Rained all weekend long but still loved it. Niagara Falls is amazing.
