Yea I just saw his car in my apartment complex in Austin!

Not sure if he lives in here, I think he might have been helping friends move in.

 

Went for a nice drive this weekend in the 8er, the weather was beautiful and the car ran great. Saw a fellow Rx-8 at Oakland and Center in Kalamazoo, happen to be anyone around here? the car was black just like mine.

I have oem hood, no spoiler + I have Ontario plates.

It's probably just another yankee from Michigan moving to Texas to make the south a better place; that, or he found a job.

I am going to be coming from Vancouver to Grand Rapids Michigan to start at MSU CHM. In other words, I will be joining the RX8 people with my BB 04 RX8 slightly modded
How are you all doing?
Do you know anyone in grand rapids with an 8? and any good place to maintain your RX8?

I am planning to drive it through the winer. SO GOOD LUCK ME.

All of us in Windsor year round our cars. Make sure to get it oil sprayed on this side of the river before the snow, it'll save you from the rust.

I'm off to mod my car in Michigan with Chip! yay!

I'm an hour to the east in East Lansing. Good luck with the culture shock! A set of dedicated snow tires is highly recommended; sets of stock rims usually go for ~$400 and are a risk-free investment (the Speed6 guys love 'em). GR is close enough to the lake that it gets a lot of snow, much more than Detroit/Windsor, plus snow-removal ain't the greatest with budget cuts. If you haven't already settled on an apartment, try to be within walking or bus distance from class/job. There will be days where the 8 won't have the ground clearance to make it.

 

Can you post up the name/address/phone of a place near Windsor that does this? I want to get my DD sprayed before winter. TIA!

 

Grand Rapids here. Rx8 scene in GR is dead.

However there is a meet every Friday and Saturday. A pretty good selection of tuners, muscles and exotics. Let me know and I can take you.

oh, Chip, this is how bad the weather was yesterday in Windsor. On the cover of the Paper.

 

Went to my Mothers for the weekend. Road construction along the way (I-196) and a backup on US 131 caused the 4hr trip to be a 6+hr affair on Friday. I never did figure out what the back up on 131 was caused by. As a former resident of GR, I jumped off on Ann St. and took side streets up the east side of the river until I got to Post Dr. Today I took 131 all the way south to Kzoo and avoided the worst of the construction. I forgot how fun the S-curve could be.

 

131 is a nightmare on this holiday weekend. July 1st on friday, 4th on Monday, I didn't even bother going to the family cabin on Torch Lake this weekend.
btw, 131 has a shoe tree up north, the only reason i remember that road.
