Order a new one from BHR. Our fuel pumps just die.

Need Oil Metering Pump

Why is an OMP $1200 and you can buy an entire engine for $2500? I need an OMP. Where can I purchase one for less than what the part is listed for?

Used OMP here for way less. Probably even less from a blown engine part out.

Kudos and thanks to you, Charity, and other helpers who hosted this gathering! It was a fun evening for me even though I couldn't get there until 7:30 pm.

I wish I could have made it out.

We are having a wings night out in Windsor next week.

Just another get together, last time the wings were good, and so was the football/beer.

Thanks Man!
I think the advans look so much better not that my car is slammed.

btw, We are having another get together in Windsor at Rack and Roll on the 19th yo!

...and to the rest of the Mi guys, I have bought myself a winter car, the 8 will not see snow/salt ever again. I got a Integra to kill. My rx8 rims+winter tires are going on the Santa fe.

+1 on the winter beater, though you're missing a business opportunity - snow plowing dirveways with the rabbit splitter.

I have some noise coming from my throwout bearing in the transmission. Could anyone recommend anywhere in the Metro-Detroit area to get it replaced (probably along with a new clutch) at a decent price?

I've had that noise for over a year with no problems. I do have a replacement + clutch/flywheel for when the inevitable happens.
Akursedx, hit up Chip Motorsports aka rotoryfreak here on the 8club.

Chip Motorsports was the first place I contacted. They gave me a quote, but it's more than I want to spend at the moment. I think I'm just going to drive it for now and probably do it myself over the winter. And if I don't, I'll get it done in the spring. It's not that loud and it doesn't even chirp all the time, so I'm ok with it for now.

I parked my car at a shopping plaza by wayne state this morning just for an hour so I could take my test. My parking structure is a bit of a walk from the building where I have my bio class. I come back within an hour and find that my car has been towed. I had to pay $380 just to get my damn car back. Luckily, I drove the malibu and not the Rx8 today.

Sorry for the pointless post, but I just had to vent because $380 seems beyond ridiculous to me.

have you called Oakos? I'm not sure they have RX8 experience; but in simply swapping a clutch, it doesn't take a rocket surgeon. i completely trust their mechanics.

Yeah, till midnight. Oh well, I'll probably have to wait till next year for some gtg's as the days of decent weather are quickly fading.
