The Michigan "WANKEL"
Thanks. It's pretty wild in sunlight, although it's making it harder for me to decide on the color of wheels I want to get for it. part of me thinks that some kind of bronze would go well with the gold flake (I'm not fond of really bright gold wheels, usually), but I also like the idea of a dark gunmetal type of finish. At first I was leaning toward a hyper black wheel, but I'm not sure that kind of color would go well with the gold flake.

Spring outing/BBQ
Well you know it is not Spring in MI till the first April snow fall, it never fails so If you're planning an outing/ BBQ for mid to Late May that is cool, but it can still be cold to iffy weather wise then, so make sure the place has some type of covered pavillion! Sounds Good though

May is fine Summer get real busy for most people we have to cram a years worth of activity into 3.5 months. Try May 16 0r 23, before Memorial Day and just find a park with a pavillion and see if you have to reserve it in advance and then get a count from the group. More people should be logging on in the next week or two as the snow melts LOL

I think May would be the best month. It should be warm by then. What city are we settling on? BTW, I know some people aren't facebook account users, but if you are join the "Michigan RX8 Club".
I've noticed making events/gatherings through facebook has always been much easier.

I bought it last June. Business was going really well so I figured why not? I didn't see the sharp fall off coming this year. Looks like I'll have to go with either the work van for daily transportation or maybe buy an older Jeep Grand Cherokee. Anyway, it'll probably be hard to sell in this economy so I'll see some of you guys on the east side.

I've always rode sportbikes and had motorcycle stuff going on so I never went. This year I sold my bike around the time I picked up the 8. So, I might go this year.

Dan,
Sorry to hear mang! I love your car, but I know how it goes. I had to get rid of the 8 til next spring... my dad actually bought it and loves it back in Colorado. If I could I would buy your Shinka as I'm practically in love with that color (besides my Whitewater Pearl, lol). But good luck with sale and sorry to hear! If I come across 16k I'll give you a shout, lol.

Talk about bad timing, the business is showing signs of life so I'm thinking I can make it all work out and now the work van gives me problems. Why do we have to get rid of all the fun things in life?? I could maybe deliver stuff in the RX8? Did your dad have any more problems with your car or is it straightened out now?

As of right now the car is running good. When my dad got back to Colorado he had the cat put back on (Colorado emissions FTL) and found out it had an oil leak. I guess when they installed the new motor there was a hose that wasn't on tight which ended up coming off and ruining my ram air intake as well as make a oily mess in the engine bay. That has since been cleaned and the intake has been recharged. The next thing to fix is the passenger headlight which is flickering/out. After that, a new front lip and wheels are going to be powdercoated a black with gold flake. I'm going to buy a new lip though sometime in the near future... and it will be upgraded to something different not the stock lip.
It was good seeing you the other day! Car looks good!
