Stew, I don't know the details on the 8th ... I think it's an RC3 meet.

The EVOLV-Chicago meet is always the first Saturday of every month. The locations rotate between The Foundry in Aurora and Portillos in Downers Grove.

Once we get into fall, I'd like to have a meet to plan next year. I think we need a meet further north and we need to get started on the BBQ

 

The first post of this thread is always updated with the current meet information. Just check that and you'll know what's going on. Also, you can sign up for the email reminder list (PM me). I've been so busy this summer I haven't been as "on the ball" as I have in the past. Hopefully someone will volunteer to help out and that will change

Hello I am new to the Chicago area and will be here for several weeks. I had a flu and missed the 1st Saturday meet, but am fine now. I want to have a meet on a Saturday in order to compare exhausts. I have a Helix, and it would be informative to compare it with a MS Dual and Corksport, as they all look to have the same or similar mufflers. I am probably available this Saturday on the 8th. I just need a time, address, city, and zip code and I'll be there with the Helix.

 

Check out RC3, they are having a meet this week. This group is pretty much all committed elsewhere next weekend. I'm pretty sure Al said he would be at the meet on the 8th and he has a corksport.

 

Last time I checked, no one wanted to set one up yet.

Wow, I wish I would have looked over this thread on the 1st since I was at the best buy and frys right over there earlier in the day, maybe next time I can meet up there.

 

A few of us are at GingerMan raceway in South Haven, MI this weekend for the NASA event. I think between the three of us we have: MS exhaust, high flow cat/Tanabe combo, and a stock exhaust.

 

FYI Charles R. Hill will be stopping in the area to pay a visit on either the 26th or 27th of this month. Meeting spot will be at the Foundry in Aurora. Any interest in the Oswego East High School car show on Saturday, September 22nd? RedDevil, Mac, and myself went in the spring. I thought it was a good time - several neat cars there, plus RD won a trophy with an unwashed car.

 

I'll have to let you know closer to next weekend. My initial inclination is that I am going to be skipping it.

 

I'd be interested, I think I will be around that day. Time?

 

I'm trying to setup something special for that day (9/22). Nothing set in stone yet.

 

Well, the show starts at 4. But we got there at 4 last time and found out it was really way too early. I was thinking 5 or 5:30 if we do it.

I'm not dead set on going to the car show - if you come up with something else, I'm all ears (or I guess eyes in this case).

 

This was posted on RC3. I went to this place for a NASA tech inspection. It was a pretty neat shop and easy to get to. If anybody is interested in meeting up there this weekend let me know. I was thinking of going around noon, as was Railgun.
