Saturday Night Bench Racing/Dinner/Awards at track - Following the last on track session.

 

Meets usually consist of hanging out by the cars, talking about cars, eating some food while thinking of cars and basic car stuff. It would be great if someone would figure out a nice cruise after our meets ... hint hint.

 

That's nothing I drive from Madison for these meets. I won't be there this weekend cause I'll be at the track but maybe next month. Have fun, and welcome.

 

I was at Road America this weekend so didn't make the monthly meet ... how'd it go?

BTW, better show up to the Sept monthly meet ... I got the Zoom Zoom box of goodies and will be bringing goodies to randomly hand out at the next meet. Aero, I've got one set aside for you already because of all your help planning meets lately ... THANK YOU!!!

The meet went well. I think we probably had 10 or 12 people. A good mix of 7s and 8s.

I was wondering if anyone was interested in a meet for saturday night. My wife is ditching me for a girls night out.

Posted about this in the paintball thread as well.

 

It may be a good idea for you to hit the autocross on Saturday. This would give you a little performance oriented experience before you try an HPDE. From the sounds of it, Jerry will be there (you met him at the last meet). If you ask, he would probably give you some pointers.

 

I'll probably show up to the autocross, just to see what its like.

 

Thanks for the idea, but going to be a bit hot for me on saturday.

Plus my insurance doesn't cover me if i'm "competing". I realize nothing is likely to happen at an autocross, but i've seen a few youtube videos to make me think twice about it

^ +1 and include a time. I am not sure how many will actually show up to paintball (if any) and it is supposed to be ~90 degrees tomorrow so I don't know how late I will be down there.

Looks like there's not a lot of interest in a meet tonight. Figured it would be too last minute.

That is, unless Jinks and Aero8 are definites. Then I could meet you guys somewhere for a sandwich or something. To keep it simple, if you post on here by 5, then I'll meet you at the Downers Grove portillos at 7 in the usual parking spot (east side). If someone doesn't post by 5, I won't plan on going.

Yeah I'm sorry too. I was fishing for like 5 hours on Saturday. Got burnt as hell and tired as well.

If you want to meet up at the Portillos in Downers Grove on a Sunday sometime I'm down. Moving to Glendale Heights at the end of the month so got my hands full with trying to spend my free time packing.
