OK, I know this is really short notice, but is anyone going to Chicago for Formula D this Saturday? I'm really considering making the trip up there. It should be good. I'll be renting a car so if someone wants to carpool we can work something out, or if you're already going I can chip in on gas or whatever.

I'll definatly be at HIN on the 17th too, but that's close enough that I'll probably just take my own car.

Where does everyone take their 8 for dealer service?? I had a really BAD experience(s) with Kerry Mazda in Florence, both in sales when I bought the car and now in service when they damaged my car!

Looking for a good dealership in Cincy...I don't mind driving a little ways!

I will have to check that out.....I can't stand dealing with Kerry Mazda anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (for more detail, read the "Bad Dealerships" thread, last page)

My 8 feels tainted............that dealership has no respect for their customers

Jake Sweeney in Tri-county is ok. They have done all my service. I cant say anything bad about them (quick work, nice people, i havent had any problems). But they dont really do anything spectacular either. Just good efficient work.

like i said a couple pages back, a the rx7 club people seem to recommend king's mazda - even the guy i was going to by the fd from said he took it there to have his work done. i figure if their rotary people are good enough for the 7 folks they're good enough for us.

Considering mine is used I don't think I'll be getting any.

I forgot to post this yesterday, but there was a black 8 parked next to mine at the Enterprise I work at with mazdaspeed exhaust, short shifter, & side skirts with Enkei rims and a rx8 windshield cover that I must have. Did that belong to anyone here?

Anybody going to the Concours D'Elegance car show at Ault Park this sunday at 10-4pm? Alot of gorgeous italian cars are suppose to be there along with american muscle and all the in between cars. Suppose to be 250+ cars from all over the country showing up. Should be a great time!

Someone told me about that show last Friday. How was it?

I was in Chicago for Formula D which was really friggin awesome. It's really got me considering picking up an old 240 and gettin' sideways. They had the Mustang and 350Z from F&FTD there. They actually looked pretty tasteful, and not nearly as riced out as the F&F cars have been in the past. There was another Skyline moter there as well - in an actualy Skyline one of the drivers did a rwd conversion on to make it a drift car. There was a right hand drive Honda NSX on display that had the Vielside kit on it that looks nearly identical to the one on the RX7 from the movie. There was no rotary power drifting though, just an 8 on display that had tons of sound system mods done to it, and a Mazda 6 with about 12-15 subs where the back seats used to be along with some other cars. Anyways you don't go to FD for the showcars, and there was some really sic drifting - and I got Ken Gushi to autograph my FD season 2 dvd.

Hot Import Nights is this Saturday in Indi. Anyone else going to it besides me?

The car show was a good time. Alot of awesome cars there. Saw a few cars that were worth from 10-12 million and 5-8 million dollars. Saw the Porsche Carrera GT, very good looking car, then the next day I saw griffey driving his to rookwood. But it was def a good show!

I cant go, gotta work! Let me know how it is and take pics of the cars and of course the ladies.

Damn I kind of wish I'd have been there, but I think watching FD was the more entertaining thing for me to do. Besides there'll be other car shows.

Unfortunatly I don't own a digital camera yet, so my HIN pics will have to come from my camera phone. I'll try to get some good ones. I've got one of the Skyline engine in the F&F '67 Fastback Mustang if anyone wants to see. Someone will have to host it though.

I saw a blue one with tint the other day as well, I think in Wyoming. My car now has a G4TV license plate cover that says "Drifters Do It Sideways" in addition to the vanity plate so it's slightly more recodnizible.

Did somebody here have a wreck in a Tit Gray? I was picking up a rental car at Jake Sweeny Body Shop today and they pointed out a gray one to me with the front passenger side bumper and wheel well smashed up. First they asked if it was mine to which I replied "no I don't have any cursed shade of gray." I've got a picture of it on my phone.
