Charity Autox Benefit for UMDF July 19
I'm posting this up for my girlfriend to see if there is any interest in coming out to a charity autocross in North Eastern Ohio. All proceds will benifit the UDMF. If you can, stop on out. The NORA group is a fun club and this is going towards a great cause.
Per Megan (aka Megz):
Saturday July 19 will be an autox to benefit UMDF: United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation. (click here for a description and a link to UMDF's website)
A short tid-bit to why I'm involved and what's going on... My aunt passed away on my 16th birthday from this disease, it slowly eats away at your cells, basically destroying your muscles and organs. Anyway, there are plenty of benefits going on year round, but I'd like to have my own that's a bit more personal and want to get some friends to join along.
Details:
When: Saturday July 19: 12 Noon - ...whenever we finish
Cost: $30 for EVERYONE (NORA/ASCC member or nonmember)
Where: Eastlake parking lot by Captain's Stadium
The event is up on axtime (you can pre-register for the event at www.axtime.com) Other than covering the cost of the insurance and using the lot .. I would like to make sure we make that and get close to $500-$1000 raised for the foundation.. yeah it may be a stretch but who cares, it's worth it. In order to get that, we need roughly 50-60 people out there.
If nothing else, come out and watch, take pictures... I'm going to see if anyone is willing to donate some time to do a concession stand as well as donating to the booth (of course I will help out with it).
This will be a meet/autox/benefit and for FUN, no need to take this too seriously, but I REALLY appreciate all the help I can get and support
To preregister for the event click on the provided link and go to pre registration events. On the new page that opens up click on NORA/ASCC and it will take you to the events page.

Eastlake, OH 44095-3142

The lot is on the Southwest corner of Vine Street and 91. If you follow the google maps link it is the lot directly across 91 to the West of the stadium
