Can anyone in Indiana help me out

My car flooded and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with it. I saw the post in the how to but I am a little nervous about doing something like that by myself. If anyone close to Muncie or willing to come to Muncie that would be great. I just would rather not have a dealer tow it there which is already far enough away and then have to take off my intake when I go in. So if anyone could please help me I'd be willing to pay gas and beer or just money.

Beer, you say????

Anyway, has it flooded before? I don't know if you're turning off the engine prematurely, but I have 40K on my '04 RX-8, let it warm up fully and it has never flooded. My last two RX-7s flooded, but that was from leaking injectors and below is always what I did and it worked, but took a while sometimes (more than an hour):

-Remove and clean the plugs
-Continue to try cranking it like you normall would to start the car
-Be patient and try and crank it several times (leaving it sitting won't alleviate the issue, you have to burn away enough fuel so it can turn over)
-If this works, come to Chicago Evolv meet with 6 pack of Guinness

As I said, this worked for my RX-7s, 99% of the time. But sometimes I had to go a step further and cut the fuel pump to get it running, then turn it back on (I had a toggle switch for this in the cockpit).

Not sure if you got a new battery or starter out of the recall, but since you have a 2004, I would ask the dealer for new starter and battery. My car starts better than the day I bought it. I use to have starting issues that appeared to be flooding but since new starter and battery better than ever. Plus one less thing to change down the road.

chow...

good luck getting it started.

I'll try cleaning it out tomorrow and cranking it again. I've always ran it and let it run before shutting it off and its the first time so i dunno

Those spark plugs are a pain to get to. But I was just letting you guys know that I finally got it to turn over, and thanks for you help. What worked for me was my modified washer deflood and numberous cranks.
