Wednesdays after work 84th and Center (actually just a little south of center and east of 84th) I forget the name of the bar that the parking lot is behind -- it is right across from the Cinema Center movie theater parking lot. Wed. are a tough night for me but I will try to make it for a little while if I can.

I'll keep an eye out on the weather for Wednesday. Most Wednesdays, I don't have much going on right after work. I'll probably post during the day on Wed with a better idea of if I'll make it out or not.

 

congrats on the new truck! those toyota trucks last forever!!!! 60,000 miles is when it is just getting broke in anyhow wednesday sounds good sans rain, if we are all still interested in meeting maybe we could make a "rain date" or another place to meet that night at the same time- as I am a busy guy and if I clear my schedule I clear my schedule basically.

 

well wednesday is here again- how about this time we make a roll call for tomorrow at the car show by saying yes or no and most importantly time you will be there

 

I'm going to keep an eye on the weather - it looks like it may rain in the afternoon :/

If it stays clear I'll try to show up 5:30ish, even though the 3 is fairly dirty right now.

 

I just got back from Okoboji -- I'm not sure yet if I can make it tonight.

 

screw it then. it is easier to plan a cancellation than an actual meet. if it is not raining I will meet whoever there

My wife just reminded me that the reason we came home today from Okoboji was that she has a meeting tonight at 6:30 -- guess I am out Oh well -- the 8 is all dirty from the rain right now anyway.

 

bring the kids! (sans anymore rain after 5 or 6) I have brought my girls to a number of the shows down there- and with the rain I am sure most of the cars down there will be dirty anyway

 

I stopped by at 5:45 and there were like, 6 cars there...a Nova, a couple oldies, and a Benz...

Didn't hang around too long. Maybe the rain earlier scared people off :/

 

I got there at 6:05, there were more then, and then a ton by 7:15 when I left. the rain just made it a late start. well I saw nobody! is there some secret meetings I am not being made aware of or are we all just not into it>? I guess I want to be in a club toodles till next time!

I'm from Sioux Falls, SD and was wondering, who would be up for a meet since we're in the general area, if you're in Omaha, or western iowa?! Any ideas?!

 

I would be definitely up for a meet- but if that is not going to happen, maybe we could all meet up for a drive, maybe even on the Loess hill scenic byway or whatever it is called- I have found that road to have some reaaaaaal fun twisties and hills>? Maybe for people to come, we could schedule an official meet on a weekend>? man I sound like the kid who always got picked last when they made teams in PE class!!! somebody be my friend!!!!!!!! :p

 

Let's set something up in advance so we can get work off and stuff, throw out dates and an easy to find location, and we'll get it goin!

 

I have this weird feeling of deja' vu>? if it is planned in advance and not during a husker game I can meet anytime if that is what it takes!

 

As they say -- "It's like herding cats" -- We all have such different work schedules and family/life obligations that trying to get everyone on a schedule is proving nearly impossible -- but thanks for the effort Kain. Maybe hooking up with the Midwest Mazda group and using their monthly scheduled times would work best -- at least more people would be at the event even if they aren't all 8 owners.

 

well at the end of a week I pull down anywhere from 65 to 75 hours for work and work-related freelance- my wife is a psychologist who volunteers 3 nights a week at a hotline, thus I watch my girls those nights solo- I seem to keep finding time, evidently I will just try and meet at the car shows for now on as I can at least talk to other people when others don't show up. always interested, always ready to give what it takes-go rx-8!

 

and I meant the above post in the nicest way possible! it is just sad seeing other type of car owners all banded together at the car shows, and me be a loner rx person there. or as my wife says, "psychologically speaking"

MWM is having a meet and greet Saturday August 14th at 2:00pm I believe, at Cheeseburger Paradise. Check out http://www.msprotege.com under the NE section for more info if you're interested. Even though I'm still fairly doubtful about joining the club per the monthly dues, I'll probably plan on attending.

I'll keep an eye out on the weather for Wed night as well. Don't know how late I'd be able to hang around because I'm supposed to start playing in Offutt's little pickup games on Wednesday nights (I may officially be a 'rink rat' now), but if it's nice out I'll probably try to make it out after work.

 

Amen -- today was our 12th Anniversary :D She got a diamond necklace and I got a Victory Kingpin motorcycle (well we picked it out -- I'm still deciding if I really want it).

 

I am definitely going to try and make it on the 14th. Cheesebuger in Paradise is only a mile from my house so I should be able to get there :D

Safety isn't the real concern (I have riding experience and really only cruise around -- no highway or interstate riding) - just having the time to actually enjoy it is my only real concern.
