1st Shipment arrived at dealer
My dealership just called to tell me their first shipment of Rx-8's are in. He said I can stop by and check out one that is not sold yet. I can't take it for a test drive, but they said I might be able to drive it around the parking lot. Not sure what color or options it is, but they said the price on it was 29k... I'm going over there when i get out of work in a couple of hours and I'll be sure to post what I think after I leave the dealership. :D

Hi All, If you live in the San Diego area and are interested in a red RX-8 with a GT package and all black interior, call Barb at Cush Mazda, 760-737-3277. The fellow that ordered it just backed out and you can have it today! It's there, it's ready. (Mine did not come today, but I hope this week!)

Ok, just got home.
I got to sit in and explore the whole of the vehicle. The only thing is I wasn't able to start it. It was a sunlight silver 6 mt with the touring package. Here are my thoughts...
1) Man, is that engine small... its awsome. Also the oil filter looks like it won't be too hard to get to.
2) For me, seating will not be a problem, there was plenty of room for me and the person to sit behind me to be comfortable. I am only 5' 9" though. However, I pushed the seat all the way back and it almost touched the back seat.
3) The trunk could actually hold some very large items, you just have to get them in there somehow.
4) The stereo sounds great. I may not need an additional subwoofer afterall.
5) I turned the AC on, but I couldn't really get a good opinion since the car wasn't on.
6) Everyone driving by turned to look at the car while I was out there. By the time I was done looking at it people were pulling onto the grass in front of the dealership so they could look at it too.
Mazda has made one amazing automobile.

SESI Mazda contacted me today and let me know that the orders are trickling in. He said there are also a few that aren't spoken for. I didn't ask what colors or packages.
