Finished my install using the DYI found here : https://www.rx8club.com/series-ii-in...-sport-239810/

Still need to fix the temperature/clock on the info bar and try and figure out the backup camera. Does anyone know where I would be able to tap into the car for the Pioneer HU to switch to the backup camera?

Happy New Years guys!

In other news, a buddy of mine and I started up Cincinnati Rotards on Facebook to help people unite who aren't on the 8club as often as they are on Facebook.

We had this page, but I forget who maintains it. And it hasn't been updated in a year.

Alright, so who's the person in a TI Grey S1 over on Union Cemetary, almost right next to the Hawthorn Woods Cul De Sac? I see it every day I drive by, but I don't want to just stop in there like a creep haha.

I've seen it too. I don't go down Union Cemetery much, but I went down there a couple times between the holidays.

I live right there with my room mates in that cul de sac. My 04 and another 09 R3 may be seen lurking around there with a red mini cooper. Seems there's quite a few of us in the loveland area. There's also a VR S1 in a neighborhood across from SMOY, and there's another TI Gray off of columbia closer to Montgomery Rd. It's always parked outside:l

Saw a VRM R3 last night on Montgomery with window tint. Looked good. I was in my salt-covered CX-7 so I looked anonymous.

Might have been. The wife noticed a "plug" coming out the front of the grill. Might have been a block heater? Last time I checked we're not in Duluth but maybe not a bad idea to get out from the rev limiter faster.

Must be in a hurry to leave the house.. maybe late to work every morning.

I need to get a good look at your 8 sometime. Not sure what is necessary in lowering my 8, but the stereo replacement has me interested in doing some other things. Can't go too low with it (too many approach issues) but I think the height of yours would be something I'd like.

I told my wife when I bought the R3 that I wouldn't have to do anything to it, but I think I was wrong. Definitely will need to bounce some ideas off everyone in here to make sure I'm not making a huge mistake.

Okay, that definitely could have been my room mate. We had the bumper off eliminating the VFAD and installing an intake, so I think we didn't tuck the HID Fog light wires back in has I had intended....definitely could have been it haha. Though, I don't think there's a plug, though there may be a wire coming out of it somewhere. I haven't noticed.

New RX8 Owner

Hey guys. Figured I should introduce myself. I just purchased an RX8 and joined the forums today. Here's a few pictures of the car.
My roommate's 8, username is ThatNewGuy. Check out his 8. He sucked me into rotaries.

And here is one of two mods I have done to the car (see above for the first, HID fogs), the cold air intake. Ebay because I am now poor after an accident that totaled my 350z... ignore my roommate. Hes a mini cooper guy -_-

I live in the Loveland area, but I will be soon moving to Maineville. Hopefully I run into some of you on the road (figuratively speaking, of course).

At least Mustachio got rid of that hideous Z ..... lol. Welcome BnG!!!! Nobody else around here is allowed to get a VR, pick some other color people!!!

On a side note Lucy should be done and ready for pickup tomorrow after her detour into the shop for a routine suspension upgrade turned into a week long massacre as her lower control arm joints disintegrated and the camber screws were seized :-( She also has her full TopSpeed mid-pipe and catback exhaust installed now and we can shoot fireballs....video to come once I rescue her tomorrow and clean her up.

Ooh, I'll have to see that. My wife has wanted to shoot fire since watching the 8s race at Mid-Ohio.

I'll be working at the SCCA booth at Cavalcade of Customs tomorrow, so if anyone is going stop by and say howdy.

I think I still have a little more drop left in it. This Spring I'm going to take the car up for alignment and have them preload the struts again. The Tein S-Tech is supposed to be compatible with S2s, but my rear suspension looks a little high to me yet. It could be the factory struts are not set up for the springs but I've seen other S2s on the forum that looked lower than mine.

Only one rotary running at Daytona this year. Mazda dropped factory support and McDreamy dropped Mazda since the diesel wasn't ready for LMP2.

I'll pass on the CavOfCustoms. I went a couple years ago and all I saw were poor imitations of rat rods. If I wanted to see more of that, I'd enter Wendy's BFW, fireball-spitting 8 there.
