Love <3
Cleaned it up, armor all'd the inside, cleaned up the shifter/boot area, installed some sound deadening around the trans tunnel, installed new coils, and eliminated some annoying squeaks and rattles. Not too shabby for 180k I guess.

I still need grilles and a reflector folks. Help me out?

Funny thing is that little bit of chrome plastic trim on the S2 below the fogs cost $65 each. Just think I painted mine and ruined my 8 from ever being a collector's car.
Need to paint that chrome piece on mine also.
Getting a 4 port 13B REPU engine for my 7. Have been planning on a TII, but this is a great deal and I can port it and rejet the Dell'Orto I have to get some decent hp NA. If I want to I can always turbo it later for cheap.
Perf or bridge? or you going with a heavy street port so it's actually drivable?
wait a minute. Are you actually working on it finally?
Allen, pvc or fiberglass will be your friend for the shrouds. I think will a little work on them, the twin tips will look good.
As for me, the next car adventure is on hold...until we get a handle on having a baby girl.
I haven't really been around much on the boards lately, but figured i'd tell you all the good news. Found out we're having a baby girl in may. I've already looked into Recaro baby/booster seats
Youth carting starts officially at age 4, so i need to start a separate account for that too

Woohoo! Congratulations Kevin! That's great.
I'll be doing a streetport, have to do some more research but I have read about the Judge Ito which seems to be a maximum type of porting. Not quite working on it yet, I have some more to do on the Miata and 8 this time home but next time home for sure.

Alright.
So I'm sure it comes as a surprise to everyone here my car is broken again. I'm pretty sure it's 3rd transmission time.
I knew I wouldn't get away with the car being on it's 3rd motor and only 2nd transmission for long.
The universe was aware of the imbalance.

that sucks... are the second transmission still under warranty?
hope it'll get fixed soon..
by the way, does anyone knows where I can get the ABS error code be read, so that I can figure out which speed sensor wire is bad? I couldn't find out by visual inspection, and autozone said they can't scan chassis code..
Probably local body shops may be able to do, but I just don't feel comfortable taking my 8...
Being in winter, I'm fearing if they gonna flood the engine...
I'm kind of hoping for a cheap fix, but other wise, time for a trip to Kings Mazda...

Did you try maybe calling Endurance Motorsports where Yuki worked? They didn't F my 8 up when I had it in last week and that is more than I can say for King's lately......Nick - not sure we can be surprised about an 8 needing a 3rd Tranny....I am on my third but only second engine, lol. I need a Cobb AP and then maybe I will be ready for my third engine to match my Tranny.
Is it Spring yet?
It is what it is. The 8 is going to go into storage until further notice. I'll drive it until it breaks, or until next weekend and I get another car. Whichever comes first.
An MX5 is 1st on the list.

Forgot about this, the other day Robyn was coming home on the freeway when a car pulled up alongside her. She didn't pay it much mind until it started revving on her. She looked over and said it was some sort of Toyota with a couple of guys in it. They gave her a thumbs up and drove off. I told her I needed to make up a sign for her that says, "If you like my car thank my husband."
Oh, and '92 Honda Accords have made my list of cars never to do a brake job on ever again. It would be a royal PITA under the best of circumstances, but the previous owner was apparently a moron and lots of problems thanks to them (like, one of the axle nuts was installed using a construction impact wrench. No chance of my getting it off with a 140 psi impact, nor my son or I bouncing on a breaker bar).

Thanks lady and gents.
It's pretty exciting having a kid on the way. Not gonna lie.
My holding off on a car plans might be getting changed.
A friend of a friend might be looking to unload his well sorted, boosted e36 m3 with a bunch of track goodies like TC Klein double adjustables. I'd like a e46 m3 or a 135i, but if the price is right (I think it will be if he decides to actually sell it), i'm sure i can settle on a 300+ whp e36 that is done right. It is quite a capable car that won't break the bank and be relatively trouble free. I know the times my buddy Jason was capable of in his N/A e36, and this one is similarly prepped, but with about 100 whp or so more.
my fingers are crossed.
Tact. I checked out that forum and already have some plans. I put a single seat ferrari on the baby registry this weekend. V, was not impressed.

Well, I need new tires before DGRR, and, since my stockers have seen better days, I'm thinking about putting some on a nice pair of RPF1's. The issue is... I'm new to this part of the country and have no idea where to buy locally. Do you guys have any suggestions? Otherwise I might join another forum and jump in on a group buy...
