Dan, i haven't forgot to call you, just busy this week. I'll try to give you a call tonight maybe.
It's all good.

Feel free to advertise for me if anyone around knows someone who'd want to buy my 8 as well...it's a shameless plug I know.

Steve:the car looks great! CEL about emissions are joke when there's no e-check lol. There's a reason I don't have emissions oeither one of my cars, though I kinda wish I did for the 8 now since I never got around to getting it tuned.

Bb8: can't wait to see how your car turns out.

I want to do that. Never liked the look of the chrome on the front vents.

Just drove to Kansas City, MO today. Got 23mpg on the way down.

I'll probably be there. Plans slightly changed but weather looks good. I have to meet your better half and talk to her about how to convince my wife the need for more stuff on the car.

Allen: Easy fix. The black trim part below the fogs pulls straight out. Grab it on the corners with equal pressure and it has two snaps retaining it and pull straight out. Two Phillips head screws hold the chrome bit in place. Wet said with 400 grit sandpaper to prep the surface and have at it. I used Rustoleum satin black for all surfaces. I have about 4 coats of paint on mine. The last one I put on a little heavy to give it some texture to match the black plastic.

I'm going to paint the chrome surround on the side markers eventually. Not sure if I'll paint the Mazda emblem on the hood and the chrome RX-8 on the rear.

Looks like I'm going autocrossing! Plans for the other event fell through so I got the go-ahead. Not a very big signup so far.

Is anyone on here interested in trading for some of my aftermarket parts for your stock parts plus a little cash? The parts I'm interested in trading are my AP catback, AP midpipe, and my Racingbeat Intake and duct. PM me if you're interested. I'm probably going to look at putting the car back to stock as a potential option to trade in. So the exhaust is probably the number one priority.

Dan, I'd consider buying the AP off you but I want to hold on to the stock exhaust if/when I sell off mine. I'm not sure the RB Revi fits on the S2. I need to check.

Do you need a stock air box? Still need my multi-colored fogs? Maybe we can work out some kind of deal. Money is tight though right now. Do you have to remove the front bumper to put that intake on?

I think your guts tells you right...
or, if you want, you can use my place for it, since Dan lives not so far from my house. Either way, we can have a little party.

If there aren't any cracks or anything, pull it apart, clean everything up and put it back together with teflon tape. If the regulator itself is leaking internally, you might be up **** creek.

damn....
it has a crack where you screw in the hose, on the regulator, and it is regulator/pressure switch combo unit there... i was looking at those third party pressure sensor, and thinking maybe i can use to... I JBweld and taped over, but it didn't quite stop the leak... guess i'm out of lack.. been using just to fill the tire so far, but was hoping to use it on other things...

30gal tank with 10cfm@90psi, so really looking forward to use it with tools though...
oh well..

I was leaning more towards not going that route anyways, spent way too much on this car and I need to draw the line somewhere. See you Sunday.

Don't worry Tact, the wife will like the new giant sucking sound coming from under the hood
Hey guys I might need a little help someday with an install

I second this.

And I just assume S1 things don't fit on S2s at all.

Thanks Fuz, hopefully I have my car back by next weekend, but I guess I can wait until more free time comes up in the future with it.

The REVI intake does fit on the S2 BTW.

I have a set of the installation instructions for the RB intake if they are needed. It's actually fairly easy to install but you have to remove the bumper. I still need to get in touch with RB, mine was missing a couple of small pieces that I would like to get.
