You drive an 8, so I think your senior membership is long revoked. Then again, you do drive a Miata (the epitome of a mid-life crisis car) so it probably evens out.

Of course mine doesn't count as a crisis car because it has been modified to go fast.

 

yeah midpipe and all, i had the catback only before and it sounded good but now it sounds really good, whens the next time yall are meeting up ill let you hear it

 

It does dry up with age if not properly lubricated from time to time.

Maybe I need to dig out my Vanilla Ice garb and bling and wear it down to Fuel some Saturday yo. But first I need to get my 10,000 watt sound system and dual 24" subwoofers installed in place of the back seat.

Haven't been up to the import dealership yet, but I might ask them to let me test drive this. Rolling up in a 2012 Malibu rental might put me in the "douchebag who wants to test drive something he wants, but can't afford" category.

 

Steve I know you've heard my car before. And if you're going catback only you'd already lose your membership lol.

On a side note I don't even think the midpipe and catback together are all that loud anymore...it only makes everything else seem quiet.

Hey, I want to use my Bluetooth phone hook up thru the audio system. I already get complaints that there's too much engine noise when I'm on the phone. Not many people appreciate the sound of a rotary engine.

PS: I miss my 8. The Mal-a-boo just isn't cutting it out here.

 

Damn it! Why does my car have to be in the shop now? Saw a brown GSL like the one in the photo there yesterday on Dixie Hwy. I love first gen's, and it's rare to see them on the road

I called them today and they said they need another week. That's ok. He said he has it all fitted up nice, majority left is paint work. I am also getting one of those clear bra's put on it as well.

 

Good call on the clear bra. Saves a lot on paint chips.

 

How is it you can't wax new paint for three months but they will slap a clear bra over it?

I'm (nearly) all packed, the rest has to wait for morning once I am done with maneuvering. Don't know how things will go once I get ashore but I'm considering renting a scooter to putz around the island on.

I'm spending the week in SoCal desert. I wish I wouldn't have to deal with thoughts of winter and winter tires again. Summer only out here.

My 8 would look good in the Coachella Valley. Not too many out here that I've seen. Lots of fart can Hondas, but I did see a super clean white Evo X tonight. Looked and sounded pretty good.

Saw my first S1 since I've been in SoCal tonight. Dropped and it had a strange paint scheme. Not sure I liked it much. Our little group in OH has better taste.

 

Reminds me. Saw a white S1 the other night in West Chester. Had an evo wing on it, and looked awful. Who would ever do that to an 8? :P

Yep that was me. Picked up something down in Cincinnati so either on my way down or the way back. I saw one white 8on the way back but didn't notice you... I'm working over weekends last week this week and next satuday, so likely I won't make it to the fuel. Anyways, next Autocross is down in turfway in KY. Anyone interested in coming??
