I was actually looking for an Evo X before I bought my 8. Just happened to find this one first, I guess.

And I dunno about the Genesis over the BRZ/FR-S. Yeah, it's got more horse, but also at least 500 pounds. I don't think the difference in the power/weight ratio is all that great.

Either way, there's no way I'd buy them new. Wait a couple years for the aftermarket to catch up and give you some really good options, then look for a reasonably-priced low-mileage car. Deal.

I'd take a genesis over the brz/frs any day. Way more car for the money. while it weighs more, it is tons faster. Motortrends numbers have the v6 at almost 2 seconds faster than their recent BRZ numbers. Not to mention that it's by far a better looking car.

It looks pretty good, not sure if this car looks like the stock one though, I don't know much about them.

Dan, I know the EVO X is nice but the EVO IX MR is nicer, IMO. The X looks so bloated, and kind of got away from the original EVO concept, but those seats are nice though.

Want. Should be standard. Or the V6 out of the GT-R, if they could fit it. The underpowered Boxer engine just seems like too little for the cars.

Of course the price point would be higher. Lame.

I actually like the Genesis, but not the V6 version. Gimme that Mitsu/Hyundai 2.0 and ALOT of boost!

Who said anything about getting rid of the 8 lol. The 8's going into the garage collection and likely to become a dedicated track car in the future.

bb8: I agree that the IX MR looks better overall, but I don't think it's a better car.

Fuz: I agree to disagree with you on how the BRZ/FR-S looks, because I really like the way it looks and don't care for the way the Genesis looks at all. Additionally I like the idea that the FR-S is a reincarnation of AE86, another underpowered car that I particularly like from my cartoon watching days of Initial D. Also it would make it a good DD since it will actually have better gas mileage than what I've been used to from what I've heard it's 20/30 (looks way better than 18/24), but I could've heard wrong.

Hey, I just pulled 17.8 MPG on mostly city driving. Thank you warm weather. Of course, I filled up tonight and ran it up a couple times to almost 9K so there goes the high mileage. Carbon build up, you know.

Am I in the minority?... I'm in love with the front end of the Evo X. And to a lesser extent, the Lancer Ralliart. The rest of it... kinda just looks like a sedan. But I like the look better than the Evos before it.

Short answer: Yes.

Looks like great weather for Fuel on Saturday.

If you're you're grilling, I'll be there.

I have to make a booze run to the Party Source Saturday so why not detour to Fuel first?

Well the relief was a no-show today so I'm here for another month (could be less if they change our discharge port, we'll see this coming week). So all the frantically trying to get things done was for naught.

Thankfully no. It does mean I'll be here for the standard three months which is fine, I object to it because I had gotten myself psyched to go home early and I had to do a lot of handover stuff on short notice that was now for nothing.

I appreciate that Steve, I really do. However you aren't used to a high horsepower RWD car and I'm afraid you would just spin it over and over and over...

Besides, my wife does a good job of giving it a workout driving it to Starbucks and the like. A week or so ago she was sitting in the drivethru there and heard what she thought was an old lady behind her saying, "Miss, you better not scratch that car!" She turned around and it was my friend giving her a hard time. I told her I would prefer she not drive it through there as the curbing sucks and there is a very tight 90 bend (and she has this penchant for curbing wheels, as my Speed and old Protege can attest).

Sub Station II (Dream Street - Florence, KY) cruise-in starts tonight at 6:00pm EST and typically runs until 9:00pm. We're planning to attend.

I'll manage Mike. Remember, I used to have many RWD cars. I learned to drive in a 1972 Olds Delta 88 with a 455 and my dad had a 69 Impala with a 396. Now we're talking smoking up the polyglass tires.

My wife never met a curb she didn't like. Also the front splitter on our Miata looks like it's been through a war.

Might be a little cold for Fuel in the AM. I may get there a little late if I go.

Great to see you again James. Don't wear your shorts though.

I have this huge jar of coins. I bet I have a couple hundred in there. Coinstar can count it but why give them 8%. Does anyone know of a bank that'll count it for free or cheaper? 5/3 is my bank and even with what I have in there, they don't offer that as a service. Heck, I'll pull my money out of 5/3 and into another bank if they can throw my coins into a counter and let me deposit it in a checking account.

The coins = cat back.

If anyone wants to buy my (2) 8mm spacers, I will let them go for $20. You will need to install longer studs to use these.

Also, if anyone knows of anybody who needs (4) 285/30/18 Hankook Ventus V12's, I am selling these for $200. There is alot of tread-life left. Maybe 1500 miles on these. I will send pics to anyone that is interested.
