Seems I'm not on here enough.
The Genesis, although it does seem like it's more bang for the buck, quality control at Hyundai is terrible. I know of two friends that purchased a Genesis and both threw a rod within a couple months, and that's during it's breaking in period.
I'm going to have to admit that Hyundai is greatly increasing their efforts on making quality cars, their just not there yet, and I mean, it's hard when you're trying to make cheap cars.
I have a biased opinion towards Hyundai to be honest, since I've had my fair shares of bad experiences with them, but that's my .02 cents lol.

BB8: I may be interested in both the spacers (after measuring my current setup to see what I need) and the tires, but what are you opinions on trying to fit those tires on a set of my 18x9's? That size seems to be a bit too big for me at a quick glance.

The tires will bulge out, obviously better suited for a 9.5 - 10.5 inch wide rim. Let me know when you want to pick up the spacers.

Alright, finally have all my registration and plate issues straightened out. Car was sitting for a while b/c I didn't have registration for it.

Going to get window tint installed at Eclipse and paint my calipers. Thinking of painting them black. Purchased some red Rx-8 decals that I may put on the calipers. Didn't want Atredeus calling me a copycat when I showed up with red calipers.

Oh, and decided on R3NESIS as my plate.

Nice choice on the plate although I would have gone with LEVIT8.

Stopped by Longworth after Fuel today. BBRX8 suggested it and since I made a wrong turn or two, decided to hit the area looking for future photo locations. A couple shots. Not the best light being around midday.

Haha... Well the twin thing can only go so far :P

Let me know how Eclipse does. I'm looking to get tint done on mine sometime this year... and I'd like a reputable place around the area to do it.

And where was that second to last pic taken Steve?... Like the graffiti in the background.

My wife never met a curb she didn't like. Also the front splitter on our Miata looks like it's been through a war.

Might be a little cold for Fuel in the AM. I may get there a little late if I go.
Didn't know that about you. We had a lot of big American iron while I was growing up, one was a Buick Estate Wagon with a 455 in it (my sister said she used to race it). I didn't get to drive that one but I did drive our GMC 26' motorhome with the Riviera powertrain. It was pretty cool hearing that four barrel open up right beneath your feet. No replacement for displacement, although you can give it a good shot with boost (as you know).

All of our cars have damage to the front pieces (the one on the Speed has some broken mounts) from someone getting too close to parking stops or not angling enough going into our drive. I want to get a splitter for the Miata but I know how that will end up.

Second to last pic was a mosaic wall next to Longworth. It's mostly in shadows except early AM I think.

Living Social has the $20 Fuel Gift card for $10, just for one day.
if you haven't been to fuel, this would be a good time to do so!

Hey Tact,

When you removed your emblems, do the ones with studs come off just like the RX8 emblem? For example, heat, and fishing line?

P.S. tires are gone, sold them in one day!

nope, those ones with pins were harder to get it off, I used fishing line to go around all pins, then slowly pulled off.
I broke one pin on big Mazda emblem on front and back.
those pins helps aligning them when you put back, but adhesive will hold the emblem, so even if you break pins, it won't be any issue (I think...)

Looks like it'll be a lot car. Keep it there until it rusts.

Insane price even if the miles are pretty low. Looks like the seats are a bit worn/dirty.

I'll be there.

Hopefully i'll have a new illustration to give Jason (runs fuel) so he can hang it up. If not it will happen next week I guess.

Won't make it to Fuel, doing some work on the 8 Saturday, and need to start early. First is install of 15mm bolt-on spacers, and whatever else I am going to have to do to make them fit(I.E. fender work), rework my headlight surface with the 3M restoration kit (they are getting bad), install headlight armor on my new fogs, repaint my exhaust shrouds, de-badge my trunk (decided to fill and repaint the whole decklid). Picked up some JDM corners as well. Also, just bought the DDM HID conversion kit in 6000k 35W 'cause these stock halogens blow donkey ***, and I am not relying on my fogs to light up my night. Here is that exact kit installed on a halogen car. Gotta get this thing ready for the body shop later this month.

Guys I need your help, does somebody have a 4" round template or cutout, that you can email to me? If I can get a file, I can just print it out and use that. I have looked online to no avail.

Anyone have friends or family living near Visalia CA? There's a guy selling a RX-7 wideboy kit I've been looking for, he was going to ship but now he says it's too long (side skirts are apparently still attached to the rear fenders). I asked him about cutting the skirts off but no response yet. I'm just trying to figure out some way to get my hands on this.

Chief, Naval Air Station Lemoore is about an hour or so away from Visalia. I used to know a few people in that area. Now, I know of one guy, but have not talked to him in years, and I don't know his whereabouts (deployed etc.) and I wouldn't trust him. Your best bet is to find someone in the Navy that knows someone there and they can ship it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I like the way your thinking with the widebody though.

Thanks for that James. I just wrote my youngest brother, he's a bubblehead so has some Navy contacts. I'll see if he can help me out. My plans for the car have always had a widebody kit in them. I've been looking for this kit for so long, typical of things I like it is no longer made. In hindsight I should have bought it years ago, although money was usually pretty tight.

I've attached a picture of what it looks like, while my rear spoiler is the same basic shape it is a lot bigger (I got the one they used on the race cars back in the day).

^ I like that look A LOT, nice track look, and you can run a wider tire to boot. You need to pry this from that guy's hands!
